It's about time somebody changes the debate in Davis County from "how much should we raise taxes?" to "how much should we cut them?"

It sounds like were going to get more of the same with Mr. Minson. They all say how much they want to not tax and how government should be run "like a business". Then they get elected spouting all of this right wing rhetoric and how they are associated with Hatch or Bennett, but still we are headed for $4.00 + gas, home prices in a free fall, the middle class almost decimated and soon a hard-hard recession or worse. Yet we old time Republicans will let these recycled American, Libertarian or American Independent Party types take over our Party and run the country into the ground one county at a time. The whole problem is that we don"t attend our mass meetings so the screwball fringe takes over. Lets get to our mass meetings and take back the GOP to the moderate, reasoned party it use to be. I hope we have learned our lessons in the last 7 years how the extremes have screwed things up. We'll almost surely have a very liberal national administration because of it. Moderate, thinking GOP, lets get to our Mass Meetings and try to save things, one county at a time!

Randy is the best candidate for the commission. Good luck on your campaign.

Homerun Mr. Minson.

I am sick and tired of tax hikes. We should be more concerned about our economy and start considering what we can cut to keep our taxes in check, or even better cut taxes.

Mr. Minson has set the standard by which our county should be run. Commissioners of the recent past abandoned that conservative standard and as a result they landed on their ear after being thrown out by delegates in the last couple conventions.

Now, Democrats know they can take advantage of cutting taxes and growing the economy. It's a winning philosophy and they are trying to adopt it nationally. Republicans should follow Minson's example and get back to basics and follow our Republican platform.

Go for it Mr. Minson I'll be there to support you in the Davis County Republican Convention.
