I wonder how many children are killed each year by sex offenders?

More prison time is appropriate. However, we must make sure of the accusations. Recently, in Texas I believe, a man was accused, fired, shunned in his community only to find out the charges were false. Luckily he got his job back his reputation was ruined.

Child sexual abuse is one of the few crimes where you are presumed guilty until found innocent. But then again, because of the nature of this crime it is better that an innocent man goes to jail than a guilty man get free.

Why are we DEBATING tougher penalties? This is a no brainer!

I agree that we need to be certain of one's guilt, but once that guilt has been established by law, lock the offender up for a very, long time! I fact, just throw away the keys.

I dont see why they dont lock up guilty sex offenders for the rest of their lives, why should we allow them to have lives when they have ruined the lives of the people that attack.
