I think we should have lie detectors and shock collars on our presidential candidates when they speak. I have heard enough from Hillary Clinton. This would silence her for good!

The reason there are so few Democrats in Utah is because LDS stands for Liberal Deficiency Syndrom.
In the premortal life Satan attempted to force everyone to keep the commandments. Democrats justify their social programs by pointing to Christ's instructions to help the poor. Democrats do this by forcing everyone to help. This is Satan's plan, forced to keep the commandments.
How can God bless me for charitable giving if I had no choice?
How can the reciepient feel gratitude if they believe it was owed to them?
The Democrats primary military strategy is "Premtive Surrender".
Truman fought the war in Korea in a manner that guarenteed we would not win and fired McCArthur for trying to win. LBJ and Vietnam, Ditto. They side with the ANC a communist organization in South Africa, opposed Reagan going into Grenada and his war against communism that eventually defeated the USSR.
You can search history invane for a single example where the Democrats did not come down on the side of communists.
Their stand on killing unborn babies and gay rights demonstrates that they are immoral.
Depriving us of our right to prayer in school shows they are anti-God as well.

So there are stupid people in Utah? Having studied politics and politicians for 48 years I have reached some interesting conclusions.
For instance: There are two types of Republicans, Country Club and Conservative. I'm a conservative Republican.
Democrats are much different. There are 4 distinct types of Democrat.
1-"Dumbocrat"- These are people who are members of unions, ethnic groups, or ones who parents were Democrats.
2-"Dreamocrats"-These are folks who attended one of the brainwashing institutes (government schools) and believe that nothing should ever die and no one should ever say anything bad about anything.
3-"Demonocrats"-These are the ones who want drugs, prostitution, gambling, abortion, and any other type of bad behavior legalized.
4-"Domocrats"-Domocrats dominate the three subgroups. Often they are rich, sometimes famous and out of the mainstream of society. They use the three other groups to get and hold power.
My point in saying this is to give the few people in these groups who are not completely brain dead a chance to repent and reform. You see I used to be a Democrat until I was challenged with the fact that the Democrat and Communist parties agree on almost everything. PLEASE THINK ABOUT IT!

Yes, like the criminalization of marijuana. Or whether Rezko was under indictment or not when Obama bought the property.

I think your boy Mitt would have less to say than Hillary if he got shocked while hooked up to a lie detector.
Isn't it GREAT!!! | 10:00 a.m. Feb. 1, 2008
Isn't it wonderful, the audacity of hope!!! Isn't it amazing that a two-party system might actually stand a chance again in Utah?
GO OBAMA!!!
GO OBAMA!!!

RE: re:ZZZZT
I think our boy Mitt WOULD have less to say. He's have to spend less time defending himself from the stupid things people say about him. Hillbillary would just have to stop talking before she got too sore.
Robert from NC... well said!
The Democrat in the white house is bad news for Americans. They'll think things are bad now, but have a wake up call with a brute realization if we have a democtratic president.

Oh, yeah, like it was Mitt who voted to send our troops to Iraq and then did a 180 and not won't send money to support them? Way to set them all up for their own funerals Hillary! Talk about a liar!

Latter Day Saints are having an interesting experience with the Romney candidacy, that being that even though they love the Republican Party, the Republican Party does not love them. This campaign season is proving to be a real eye-opener for us. Moreover, guys like Bill Orton have been under-appreciated by the LDS population. Maybe there is a re-alignment coming, however modest.

Ban the Demoncrats. Uphold the virtue and total non corruption of Utah's clean and pure and blameless one party system. We all know we have no conflicts of interest or corruption ever, only pureness and goodness and strength in our home-grown politicians who never profiteer. Utah as a corruption-free example of good governance should shine as what the rest of America should strive for.
....now if only we could get those wine coolers banned, everything would be perfect.
...cough, cough.

Lew Jeppson is right. From conversations I've had with associates and rumblings I've read on comment boards, I think that Obama could take Utah if his foe is McCain. Perhaps by November, Romney-supporting Republicans will have put their hurt feelings behind them and bought into the smears of the Democratic nominee that will come from Conservative Talk Shows, but maybe not. They feel that their boy Mitt has been unfairly attacked and it might take a while for them to get over it.
Hillary can't take the state, regardless of the Republican candidate.

Polls | 11:07 a.m. Feb. 1, 2008
Is anyone aware of any recent polls predicting which Democratic candidate will win in Utah? I sense an excitement and buzz for Obama, but wonder if it is just the circles I run in. Any "scientific" results to back up my hunch? And yes, I realize that we are in a post-New Hampshire moment when polls should be taken with a grain of salt.
my two cents | 12:01 p.m. Feb. 1, 2008
to quote Ed Harris from the Abyss, keep your pantyhose on. Hillary and Obama may generate some excitement in the primary, but do you actually believe they have a chance to carry Utah in the general election? Not that it matters, of course. I can't vote for a democrat, at least not for either of the two front runners based upon my understanding of their positions. Don't know if I can vote for McCain, who is a RINO (republican in name only) based on his position on many of the issues. I think I'll vote for Nader, hope he's running again, or maybe I'll write-in Gore.

Come on! This story is a no-kidding, Sherlock! story. Reporters ought to be more than masters of the obvious and something more than cliche "artists." "Spring in their step"? Wow, was that an editor's "touch"? Get with it. Newspapers are dying. Turn to some talented people for help.
