Your suggestion to make a cd of special music is a really good one. I made on last Valentine's day for my finance and she was almost in tears she was so touched. She appreciated the fact that I had put so much effort and thought into it. She especially liked how I even put a full color picture label on it using a photo of us from one of our first dates. I had made with my Discpainter in only a minute but she thought I worked hours on it. Needless to say it was our most romantic Valentine's day ever and all because of a special music CD.

That was a lovely thing to do, JT, but gol-lee, I wish you hadn't called her your "finance."

My duaghter reports extravagant gifts exhchanged among friends, girlfriends and boyfriends. Including huge teddy bears, dozens of roses, and jewlery from Kay? Oh yeah, she's in an elementary school, the sixth grade! You know this is going to finish? Schools will ban gift giving because its too much and some are left out. Another holiday going the way of Halloween. Really if we just reign it in a bit it would be so much better than an inevitable blanket policy that will happen if this trend continues.
