If this passes, I wonder which sheriff will win the race to first declare his or her entire county to be a gang-free zone.

Who qualifies as a 'gang'? The Boy Scouts? They were banned from National Forests some years ago as they were too destructive. Cops? They are pretty bad.
Who decides which 'gang members' are picked up and told to stay out?
How many Millions of dollars has the legislature funded for defense of this foolishness? Which of their buddies will get they money?

I wouldn't mind a gang-free America. Pretty sure I'll never see one, but it sure sounds appealing!

The whole state should be gang free. Run 'em out. And if the liberal pc morons can't tell a 'banger from a citizen, run them out too. Say no to gangs and libs!

So how much is this going to cost us when it is taken to court? Typical of our state legislature, lets put band aids on a broken bone.

How is this not legalizing, no, encouraging profiling? What criteria are they using to determine whether or not to investigate someone as being a gang member? Their race or appearance? It sounds like they are only including "known" gang members, but obviously they will have to make a conscious decision as to whether or not they check their databases to verify whether or not someone is included in this category. It seems like this law is prosecuting people for who they are, not what they are doing. I'll give them 6 months before they get sued for discrimination.
