Rollin Cook and Tom Patterson need to come to a compromise on this issue. They are both too far off but the sale needs to happen. Kennard should have utilized the Oxbow Jail more to free up bed space. It went approximately seven years without inmates, while the county could have used it to free up jail space. What a waste of time and resources not to use it.

It shows Salt Lake County and County Jail Guard Administrators are incompetent on dealing with such issues.

The State Corrections personnel have always been a decade behind the times, this is just another example.

Perhaps if the County stopped spending record numbers on medical and mental health care they could afford more property and other future necessities.
