I look forward to visiting the Utah War exhibit. The military expedition to Utah in 1857-58 was a training exercise for several officers who became general officers on both sides of the Civil War just three years later. I hope the exhibit illustrates the connection between the Utah War and the Civil War.

I read an article a few months back about the number of officers who were in the Utah War who then became generals in the civil War. The number was 91. I have not been able to locate the article since. Can some one help?

Congratulations Arlo! XOXO. I have been taking painting lessons from Arlo for over 5 years now and I love his technique, his style and canvas-side manor. I wish they would have written more about him and his life. Another story perhaps. He plays Indian Flute while we paint and it helps me capture the essence of my paintings. He has accomplished so many things in his life, that I encourage him to write a book! It would be a best seller for sure!

Thank you Mr. Johnson for bringing so much joy to this world with your talent. We are so appreciative that my mother paints under your direction and has blessed our home with her beautiful works of art again. We will treasure forever. Kudos to the good guys! You are definitely one of them. What a great project for you to be a part of and for the State to enjoy for years to come. Thanks for sharing! Carole's daughter!
