Another example of the Utah Legislature being penny wise and pound foolish. The Utah Shakespearen Festival is one of the best things ever to happen to this state. It helps put Utah on the cultural map - no mean feat, and is a major econimic boon to southern Utah. Its a shame that most legislators seem to think Utah ends at the Provo south town limits.

Fred,

Include a soccer field under that retractable roof and resubmit your proposal. I have a feeling it will then pass.

They were broke after giving the governor, attorney general, and other state executives a raise.

Definately shame on the legislature. I'm really ashamed to be a Utahn right now! This really goes to show that we really need to clean house here in Utah as well as Washington, D.C. The era of ultra-conservatism needs to end now before we really go to hell in a handbasket! Politicians have really lost sight of what is important and of value in this country!

Hale Center can steal tax payer money - but a real theatre company, who is producing Tony Award winning work goes unrecognized in State contributions. Par for the course - this must be Utah.
