The High School careers may be similar but I don’t think anyone should be compared with Cael Sanderson. As far as I am concerned the ground that Cael walks on is Holy. Jason has accomplished great things and I hope he continues to rack up the wins. Congratulations for the success so far and Good Luck in you College career!

When comparing Chamberlain and Sanderson you have to discount Sanderson's post high school accomplishments, because Chamberlain hasn't had a chance to prove himself yet. The question is which one is the best high school wrestler to come out of Utah to date? The record speaks for itself - Chamberlain!

I dont think this question can be answered until Camberlain competes in the Senior Nationals. If he does take first then it will be a very tough question, if not then I think that fact alone answers it.

Best wrestler ever no doubt.

It was great to see butler lose to chamberlain at the all-star meet. The match wasn't even close. Butler is a 4 timer in little 1A, but it proves that chamberlain is a dominant force. He manhandled butler, another 4 timer like it was nobodys business.

As a Wasatch grad who has seen both, I have to go with Chamberlain. Cael was of course amazing in high school, but he improved greatly in his transition to college to become the best collegiate wrestler ever IMO.

Jason is at a higher level right now IMO than Cael ever was in high school though, and at a tougher weight. Like someone else said though, he HAS to win senior nationals to earn this unofficial title.

It's going to be great to watch Jason in college. The one fact remains, Utah has some great wrestlers

Something else that must be looked at is the fact that Chamberlain was at least 4-0 against kids who were 4-time state champs. He went 3-0 last year against Porter from Davis, then beat Butler this year. It's pretty rare for 4x state champs to even face each other... and Chamberlain dominated those matchups.

This is just my opinion, but I believe Chamberlain won't surpass Sanderson's collegiate career because he will serve an LDS mission after his freshman year. I think it will be too tough for him to recover from that.

The other thing about Chamberlain is that he is just a great kid. He has a kind of a goofy sense of humor and is just really fun to talk to.

He is the best High School wrestler. For anyone who didn't take the time to watch him wrestle, you really missed out.
I don't think a mission will hurt Chamberlain. For one thing there is no proof that missions hurt athletes. Second, Chamberlain's wrestling is more mental than physical, that is why is at the top. Good Luck Jason!
