Wow ..lets see the Jazz beat the Raptors big deal..
they are terrible....the entire NBA is in trouble
there are about 6 good teams and the rest are just
terrible. but ticket prices just keep going up..
I think I will be attending more college games
where the ticket prices are cheaper and the players
actually try harder....

The way I think of it is we're in a recession anyway, so everybody is in a pinch. The NBA is just something that helps take our minds off it. So to me the price is still worth it, and I'm a starving college student.

Jimmy Z, you're missing the bus. There are no less than 9 good teams in the Western Conference alone. Don't sleep through the NBA resurgence that we are seeing. You will regret it.

What's the latest on Boozer? Is he going to play against the LA Lickers?

No news!!?? We need it.

This is crazy I know, but what's to stop the Jazz from ending with the best record in the West? Not much. They have by far the softest remaining schedule with 9 home games remaining and just 4 on the road. If we can go 8-1 at home and 2-2 on the road, we'll win 55 games and that just might be the best record in the west. Every other top team in the West has tough tough schedules the rest of the way! Go Jazz! Charles Barkley said that top to bottom, the Jazz are the most talented team in the NBA. I think that is true. Any night, someone different can light it up!

boozer's back vs. kobe's pinky.

Magic spray for everyone!

What's the big deal if Carlost on Defense doesn't play? The way I figure it, he'll give us between 20-30 points against the Fakers. Good right? Welp, he'll probably give up between 25-35 points against the Fakers as well. So it's a wash at best. Who cares if he doesn't play. Start Millsap and let his stock further rise. Yeah, we give up some size against the gargantuan front line of L.A., but we make up for it in HEART and DEFENSE.

being without booze on thursday might not be such a bad thing. remember what happened last time we played the lakers with boozer out?

Quarterconcearler: Your talk about benching Boozer is ridiculous. If Millsap was ready to start he would. The fact of the matter is he is inconsistent at best. Boozer is good for 20 and 10 every night. That's a tough load to carry.

Nobody is a great defender by themselves. It takes a team effort with all the rotations and picks/screens. I understand Boozer misses assignment but who doesn't at times. I see Williams get beat and nobody complains.

The fact is this team is built around Williams and Boozer running the pick and roll.

I was just thinking about that as well , but than again we do need Carlos to control those rebounds. Andrei could possibly get another triple-double, but probably not ,considering by the way he has been playing lately. Deron needs to come out with alot of energy against Derek Fisher, he really looked sluggish against Toronto unlike Ronnie Price. I think Andrei should guard Kobe thursday night , cause Ronnie cannot handle him. Jarron needs to get more playing time even if you guys think he is worth nothing but garbage but that is not true he is the only big man on the team willing to take a charge.

With Pau and Bynum out the Jazz are going to want to bang it inside all night, having Boozer in there to do that would be a big advantage.

I was uprised that nobody has mentioned Brewer. I think he should get some heavy minutes on Kobe, especialy if AK decides to take the night off, he needs the experience going into the playoffs and besides AK I think he is the only one who can even come close to matching up with Kobe physically.

The average basketball fan sees little more than scoring when evaluating players. Sloan and true basketball fans see much more. How come Utah played better (scored more than the other team) when the reserves played against New Jersey and Toronto? The answer: Because they played better. They might not be as dangerous offensively on individual one-on-one moves, but they put out more energy, they player tougher D in general, and they share the ball. We're relying too much on Williams getting the ball to Boozer, and then Boozer isn't playing defense tough enough, especially help defense. Williams seems afraid to foul out because he wants to play so bad. He's adequate on defense when he wants to be, and he's definitely as asset 90% of the time. I say, let's share the ball more, drive to the hoop more, body up the opponents more, whether at home or on the road, and put out 100% rather than pace yourself.
Good Game | 3:06 p.m. March 18, 2008
Lately people have been complaining about the Jazz playing up to better teams and down so bad teams so this win is a big deal. They played good against a bad team. More than we can say for the Chicago and NJ games. They played bad against bad teams. This is a good win because it showed that they don't have to play to the opponents level. Hopefully they continue that and always play well no matter who they are playing and hopefully they can do it on the road consistantly and not only at home.
magnus | 4:00 p.m. March 18, 2008
I think the Jazz actually share the ball pretty well, Boozer has only been the leading scorer twice in the last 10 or so games, and they are one of league leaders in assists per game.

Also the reality of a 82 game season makes it important to know when to go %100 and when not to and how to take care of yourself so you can be 100% more often.

I think good teams will have nights when the reserves step up and outshine the starters, and I think that can be a good thing, it shows that you have depth and you can be a little more comfortable sending those guys in when it matters.
Lakers | 6:02 p.m. March 18, 2008
Jazz need to watch the tape from Houston-lakers on Sunday. Kobe went 11-33 from the field and only shot 4 free throws, 5 shy of his avg 9 per game. No bynum and no gasol on thursday mean holding kobe to a 20-30 point performance should lead to a win. I guess odom could step it up but he wont. Anyway either kobe was having an off night or he was really bothered by battier's defensive hand in the face. I havent bothered looking at the stats to make sure but it sure does seem like the jazz put kobe to the line way to often. I think this allows a shooter to get some rhythm then it is easier for them to knock down field goals. That is the last thing we want when kobe is in town.

Anyway to recap I want to see a hand in kobe face and no fouls lets see how that works out.
Korver is my Hero | 9:00 p.m. March 18, 2008
Kobe doesn't deserve magic spray! The Jazz better win because i don't want to lose to the lakers on our home court! By the way, we won the game because of the bench. It all started with Price and then Korver, Millsap, Harpring, Collins, etc. we were good in the second and fourth quarters (the quarters that the bench played the most!) GO JAZZ!
Illinois Jazz Fan | 11:43 a.m. March 19, 2008
We don't give the Jazz bench nearly enough praise.Price,Harpring,Kover,Collins,CJ,they all bring their A game each and every time they get on the floor or should I say each time they get a chance to get on the floor. We are really going to need these guys ready to play Thursday night against the Lakers but I know we can take them.Good Luck guys you are all winners to me.
