The word "Easter" refers to the pagan goddess of fertility Austron. Therefore, the hare, eggs, etc... The celebration of Christ's resurrection should be called "Passover" and would be dignified without that pagan junk.

I read the Lewiston, Idaho, newspaper regularly online. I wouldn't call it little. I would call it superior and I would call it by its correct name: Lewiston Morning Tribune. You know, like the Deseret Morning News. It is, in my humble opinion, one of the best papers in the U.S. The reporters and editors actually care. About their stories. About their readers. The love of their craft comes from their publisher and editor - A.L. Alford Jr., a gifted journalist who has taken the paper to exceptional heights.

I'm not going to church. I'm going skiing. The tragedy of a beautiful sunny day wasted indoors.

So what's your point? You put down a lot of words of no significance. Even then, you had to sight another editorial.

This obviously wasn't written to inform or edify your readers or even to express a cohesive opinion. (And you couldn't mention Christ's name for fear of offending. Touching.)

A better editorial would have reflected on the relevance of hope (for redemption and resurrection) in an increasingly troubled world.

Instead, we find out that we ought to read the Lewiston Morning Tribune instead of the Deseret Boring News.

Simply put, if secularism isn't good (which I think you're saying, but that isn't clear), then you ought to remind us of the importance of this Christian celebration--Jesus' atoning sacrifice and resurrection. Both are good reasons for us to be optimistic.
