I hope that when building the new home the same mistakes are not made as in the first one. I can almost guarantee that the problems with the original home inculded some or all of the following:
1. Not enough or bad installation of wall insulation
2. Air leakage under or through the walls
3. Inadequate ventilation in the home
4. Failure to control indoor moisture
5. Use of room or whole-house humidifiers
6. No kitchen or bathroom ventilation fans
7. Lifestyle that contributes to moisture generation
Black mold spores are everywhere. If you build a home that creates a cold surface and introduce enough moisture, you will get condensation and mold. It takes all three things to creat the problem. If you don't know what caused the problem in the first place, you should find out before you go building a new house that might just end up having the same problems. Identify the root problem and treat the cause. Tearing down the old house is a pretty drastic way to treat the symptom. Note: Deseret News, you can give my e-mail to Heart2Heart and the family. I can help them prevent future problems without a fee.

A million thanks to all those in the community that have helped us turn another dream into reality. Tommorrow and we will be finished building and will be giving a wonderful, deserving family a new home, we hope that the spirit of service and giving will continue on in the hearts of all the wonderful people that have come together to make it happen in just nine days. Until next time.
