This is great! But what happened to the good old American way of simply stealing private property rights in order to protect the environment? Are people going to be drummed out of the corps for this move? I hope not, because this sounds like something that might, and should, work.

Readers should know that this was jointly written by Trout Unlimited and Rick Danvir, Mike Welch, and Rick Ellis of the Foundation for Quality Resource Management, a non-profit agricultural trade association representing over 100 private ranchers and over 1,000,000 acres of private land in Northern Utah. The op-ed was submitted with their signatures included.
