AK-47 slashed to the hoop better tonight than he has for a long long time, he is hitting his 3's, blocking shots = AK-47 IS GOING TO DOMINATE IN THE PLAYOFFS JUST LIKE HE DID IN EUROBASKET!!! GO JAZZ

Man those Charlotte Bobcats are pesky! I just can't understand why we have so much trouble against them. It's a good thing we had such a good team game going or we probably would've ended up choking it again like last December. The way things have been going lately, the Jazz best not look past the LA Clippers this Friday or they'll be scratching their heads wondering what in the world happened. They especially can't afford to do that considering that they've got only ten games left on the season and still haven't clinched a playoff spot yet. Way to pull it out though tonight so GO JAZZ!! Keep 'em coming!!

The Jazz have now beaten every team in the NBA this year.

AK played a decent game last night against a lottery team, but since the Jazz have shown poor results against these kinds of teams it came at a good time. I have been a big AK fan, but the last 2 years, and this may be injury or Sloan related, he's more like a .22 than an AK-47. Whatever the cause, his caliber of play has lost a lot of muzzle velocity.
The Jazz showed some signs of maturity yesterday by not panicking at their inability to stop subpar players from scoring at will. They were able to focus and execute their offense nearly flawlessly, which owing to said defensive ineffectiveness against just about anyone, they have to do to win.
I'd really like to see them allow less than a 100 points a game.
There will always be something some of us complain about. Still, we want to see these guys successful in the playoffs and finding the ability to prevent other teams from scoring will be a big part of that.
TJ | 8:50 a.m. March 26, 2008
I am not overly concerned with the 100 points they gave up. They do need to play better defense but at the same time I think people focus too much on how many points you give up. Have you ever noticed that the teams with the "best defense" are usually the ones who score less on offense too? I would bet that if you did a study to find out the ratio of points to possessions for each team. People say that the suns are a bad defensive team but I would bet that they are a lot better than a lot of teams. When you score quickly then your opponent has the ball more times and that gives them more chances to score. The highest scoring teams tend to give up more points but that also means they give up more possessions and that just means more opportunities to score. I am not sure how you would go about doing this study but it would be interesting to see the results if someone did do it. This happens in all sports and I would be interested in seeing this study done.
Concerned | 9:06 a.m. March 26, 2008
This was quite frankly a game we expected to win, and with the explosive offense we have when we run our offense the right way ended with a W. My concern is still the defense. This doubling down in the middle on players like Okafor and Mohammed, while leavimg perimeter players wide open(no one within 10 feet) who are good shooters I still don't understand. I guarantee our season will come to a screaching halt if a change is not made to this philosophy either in the final days of this season or the playoffs. This is a coached philosophy not something our players just choose to do. It hasn't been just this season that we have played this way because this has been a problem for 20 years. It's called lack of perimeter defense and in my humble opinion better change or the end is near.
Dave | 9:56 a.m. March 26, 2008
Can somebody please tell Bolerjack that we don't need to hear about all the freaking double doubles. How about keeping track of how many times in a game Boozer's guy gets an easy layup and subtracting that number from his rebounds, then see how many double doubles he gets.

Also if anyone could let Boone know that he isn't required to just make meaningless things up to say because he's on the air. It's tv, hello, shut up and stop talking....instead he stumbles and rambles for 30 seconds without telling us anything we can't already see and is blatantly obvious. How about pointing out that finally D-Will is passing the ball to AK instead of ignoring him. He did it vs Seattle too (looked like Jerry told him to pass it more to AK) and even though he missed some shots vs. Seattle it will help us long term to get AK the ball in the offense. That would be novel, tell us something insightful Boone. Nice dome by the way.
Amazed | 10:01 a.m. March 26, 2008
It still amazes me. We played a great game. We one by 22 points. Yet still, people find things to complain about. Enjoy the game!!!! We won and it was a good win. Enjoy it!
CADEN | 10:16 a.m. March 26, 2008
AK-47 IS THE BOMB I DON'T CARE WHAT YOU SAY HE WILL OWN ANYONE IN BASKET BALL
Math problem | 10:30 a.m. March 26, 2008
"...whose club is now 4-1 in a five-game homestand that concludes with Friday night's game against the Los Angeles Clippers...."

How can you have a 4-1 record in a five-game homestand when you haven't played all five games yet?

I just thought I'd complain about math instead of spelling or shooting or coaching or whatever else people are always complaining about. :-)
announcers | 11:07 a.m. March 26, 2008
Dave, relax, dude, just mute your tv if you don't like the announcers. How about trying to control your situation instead of letting everyone know how whiny you are. The Jazz are fun to watch, but don't let this game be your life.
Doucheku | 11:11 a.m. March 26, 2008
The April Schedule looks fun. We are better than all of those teams, we just have to remain focused and not play intimated- We can do it!!
Hot Nob | 11:56 a.m. March 26, 2008
I'll take Bolders calling the Jazz over any other sports announcer, especially Hot Rod. If you want truly inane, in-coherent bable, turn on your Radio and get time warped back to when we were stuck with the Rod. Booner needs to join Hot Nob, and let's have Horny be the new color commentator with Boulder, that could be a great combination!!
Collins | 12:02 p.m. March 26, 2008
I was there and hate Collins but after the Kover chant I thought it would have been funny to start the Collins Chant. lol
Announcers | 12:39 p.m. March 26, 2008
Dave, I have to admit I agree, but probably am not as annoyed as you are. I have never heard someone so obsessed with a double-double as Bolerjack. Boler can tone that down for sure. For example we don't need to hear in the 1st quarter that Boozer is only 4 point and 8 rebounds away. When he actually gets it, go ahead and point it out, but we don't need an update with every rebound. Also, Booner has been rambling over nothing for as long as I can remember. It used to annoy me but now I can of take the comical approach and almost look forward to what he's going to say, or try to say. Try that approach. PS I guarantee Booner will tell you that he loves D-Will's 15 foot jumper next game .. and every game!
AK lovers | 1:08 p.m. March 26, 2008
Same old rant. Always everyone elses fault that AK as not been doing well. AK is going to dominate this or that. Blah blah blah.

The AK fans are just like AK. Looking for someone else to blame all his problems on and take instant credit when he does have a good game.

He is a very talented player--there is no reason he could not be doing this every game--but he doesn't.

Some people, and some fans, always love to be victims.

Take control of your situation AK. Demand the ball with your performance and skills. Fans are thrilled when you work hard and play your role---and we scratch our heads when you don't.
rattler | 1:15 p.m. March 26, 2008
I agree with Dave and Announcers. Those who call the game for TV should provide insight and uncommon knowledge--anything that's not obvious to the viewer. These guys are incapable of doing that. When I listen to Hot Rod, I expect him to paint the picture for me and although he is getting a little old, he does a fine job of that.
Price | 1:22 p.m. March 26, 2008
Our backup point guard situation is a borderline mess. Sloan has NO confidence in Price and obviously Hart. Price is average at best, but the only way he is going to get better is to play more.

Derron should not play 40+ every night. The playoffs will be tight, and the way things are going, he may have to play 48 each game.

I like Price to a certain degree, but he fouls too much and is very inconsistant with his shot, not to mention that he is not a good pure point guard. I'm not sure what sloan is going to do, but I would like to see price get 10-12 minutes to improve. If that doesn't pan out, they should give AK and Brewer some spot minutes, because Derron is going to need some rest.
Hot Rod | 1:25 p.m. March 26, 2008
Cal Korver, Cal Korver , Cal Korver......AHHHHHH why can't he say Kyle
rattler | 1:40 p.m. March 26, 2008
It least it's no longer Cal Kulver.
Dee Brown | 2:05 p.m. March 26, 2008
What ever happened to Dee Brown? He stepped up and filled in when needed last year in the playoffs.
Chukar | 2:37 p.m. March 26, 2008
Has Price EVER hit a shot to close out a quarter, why do the Jazz keep the ball in his hands at the end of a quarter??
JazzFan4ever | 3:41 p.m. March 26, 2008
Ak will be just fine. Anyone that plays ball knows there are ups and downs with your game. The nice thing about AK this year is that he is just playing ball and not letting things worry him he just keeps playing and playing and playing. He really has developed a blue collar approach to the game and maybe showing more leadership this year than alot of people have giving him credit for. And regarding the lost muzzle velocity he has adapted by adding a silencer :) His game is evolving right now in a more focused way that ive ever seen from him.
re chukar | 4:25 p.m. March 26, 2008
i couldn't agree more..i like js, but the play, if you call it that, which the jazz employ at the end of quarters is absolutely ridiculous..it wouldn't work in a 3rd grade girls basketball game....it never worked with the great harold eisly dribbling out the clock clanking up some terrible shot and it won't work now...why don't we just run our regular offensive sets at the end of quarters....
Anoymous | 5:04 p.m. March 26, 2008
Well, I like what I saw in the fourth quarter of the Bobcat game....the Jazz played some awesome defense. Boozer, didn't look like the same player muscling into the paint and up to the basket. Yeah!
Okur, muscling his way into the paint to the basket too, going the only way he knows how, like a bull in a china closet....AK, swatting, blocking shots....Ronnie Brewer stealing the ball....WOW!
Except for the 20 point lost lead, the Jazz recovered in the knick of time to go on and win the game.
IF Ak is going to cry and whine, let 'em, someone on the team will pat his back a little and make him the center of attention again.
Re: Dee Brown | 5:25 p.m. March 26, 2008
Ronnie Price could eat Dee Brown for Breakfast.

How did he deliver during the playoffs? By missing his free throws and layups ? By turning the ball over? The best role he filled was on the bench with zero minutes.
Re re chukar | 7:07 p.m. March 26, 2008
Jazz want the last shot.

Running a play may leave time on the board for the opposing team. The easiest way to guarantee this is dribble down the clock and take shot. I look at as a bonus shot. If it is made wonderful. If it doesnt go in at least the opposing team cant score. A lot can go wrong if a pass is made with 2-3 seconds on the clock. It can get stolen, knocked out of bounds, or the shot may not get off in time.
Re: Dee Brown | 10:03 p.m. March 26, 2008
You must have a serious beef with Dee. Yes, early on in last year's season his play was less than impressive, but in the weeks leading up into the playoffs, as well as in the playoffs, Dee came to play ball. I'm not sure what happened to him but I would gladly take him as the back up point guard on my team. Remember his double double vs Golden St. last year in the playoffs? 13 points and 11 assists? I'll take that from a back up PG anyday of the week
RE: RE: Dee Brown | 1:27 a.m. March 27, 2008
Dee was a nice kid, and a decent player. But let's face it, the only reason he made the final cut was to appease D-Will. He's playing where he should be. Price & Hart combined equal a half D-Will. No one's going to look good coming in after he takes the bench. Did that dude call Howard Eisley Harold? anyway- where we even in the running for the prettiest face in basketball- Sam Cassell? Losing Fisher was a huge loss in a back-up role behind D-Will, who clearly left so he could be the man in LA instead of backing up the man-er I mean take care of his kid.

If I were Sloan, I'd never take D-will out of the game come play-off time.
