I thought UTAH was loaded up on Offense and not on the Defense. I did not know how good this Defense really is. That makes me happy. I know the Offense will turn around. Like Coach Whitt said it is only the 6th day of spring ball.

This fall (Top 10 Defense in the country. And # 1 Defense in the Mountain West).

Go UTES!!!!!!!!!

Yes, Utah is loaded on offense. Utah is also loaded on defense. Utah returns all of its secondary that was ranked #1 in the nation in pass defense!! They also return Nai Fotu (BIG HITTER), Lei Talamiveo, Mo Neal, Paul Krueger, Stevenson Sylvestor, Joe Dale and many more. Utah will be fine on "D". The offense this time of year is alway a bit rusty. Offenses in general, at this time of year is about timing which generally is off at the start of spring ball. The offense will be fine. There are also some studs coming in this fall: David Reed, Aiona Key, Suasan Shakerin, Dudley Laporte. Key and Laporte will likely start this year as they both dominated the juco level. We will miss Marques Wilson. Overall with the returning receivers we have in Brandon Godfrey, Freddie Brown, Jerome Brooks, Elijah Wesson ect. It is my opinion that our recievers will be much better than last years squad. Barring no injuries (knock on wood), Utah football will be DOMINANT this year.

Looking forward to watching practice tomorrow morning.

GO UTES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just a couple of things...the Utes have lost some of their secondary...Does the name Steve Tate ring a bell? That's going to be a big hole to fill there at SS. Also the loss of Burnett opposite Kruger is going to be tough, but Newman should do just fine. Also with the WR's you forgot about the main weapon there...Brent Casteel. Casteel should explode this year after being hurt last year. Also Mack is back, along with a healthy Asiata should make the Utes fun and entertaining to watch

Stevenson Sylvester has hands of stone. Now I know why he plays defense. If he could catch, the Utes would have won two more games last year

Marquis Wilson will be back as far as I know. I don't know where someone was getting the idea that he is gone.

I don't know why you say you know why Sylvester plays defense because he has "hands of stone." Sylvester was recruited as a LB and has always been a LB. I think you are thinking of Sean Smith who came in as a RB/WR.

Wilson is suspended from the team and who knows if he is going to be back.

As far as defense goes, I think the Utes will be pretty good. It sounds like Koa Misi will be moving over to the end and replacing Burnett opposite Kruger on the d-line. Tate will be missed in the secondary for sure. Watch out for Fotu...he is probably my favorite Ute on defense...and special teams for that matter.

As a Ute fan I never worry about defense!!! I don't realy worry about offensive ability, I always worry about Offensive Play Selection!!!! GO UTES
