Why play basketball games in a football stadium? This is just ludicrous! I go back to the game in the old Houston Astrodome when UCLA played the University of Houston. The sightlines were great....but 300 feet away from the floor. It's far enough away in modern basketball arenas of today.....how would you like being up in the upper bowl of the Energy Solutions Arena watching the Jazz....wow!!!!....all noise and no ability to see what is going on without watching the Jumbotron above the floor. I like the fact that BYU will be playing better teams...that's a plus. Please Coach Rose....recruit some beefy players who can body up against some of the thugs at other universities when it comes NCAA time. Hopefully more fans will be able to see your road games next year....and that this horrible Mountain TV thing will go away. Congratulations on your great year....it was sad to see the Cougars lose the championship conference game and end up with a 8 seed. The Cougars need more consistent guard play...and some more beef on Plaisted and his friends on the front line.

Go Cougars!!!!!!!

Teams do this all the time because it is a bigger venue (more ticket sales) and they can pass it off as a neutral site. I watched Indiana play Kentucky in the RCA dome in Indy for those reasons.

Let's hope the fans down there have a lot of big screens around the arena so that they can actually see the action!

Then, let's hope BYU has a better team this year so that it can make some waves down there. At least a team that doesn't have poor foul-shot shooters playing all the center's minutes at the ends of games. Darn! Nobody on the horizon fills that hope.

Coach Rose has achieved more wins each season, so I know it's in him to do even better next year if he has the talent to pull it off. It's that talent level that worries me over the next few years.

Next year might be a great one if Jimmer is back and leads the team, and if whoever's in the middle can learn to hit foul shots (and easy layups). I expect Tavernari to mature and learn WHEN to shoot so that his natural talent can become more reliable. He was too itching-fingered this year.

Cummard should have another great year. He's a mini-Kerilinko to the Cougars, with how he so routinely fills out a stat sheet. He's the most fun player to watch.

Football stadium or not, it will be great to have the Cougars come to AZ. At least we'll get to see a game and not just check the score on the internet after it's over.

Why don't you be an American and cheer for the hometeam? ASU is a great school, and then you can go to many games instead of checking scores on the net?

Lets hope that ASU has their star player acadamically ineligible and Louisville's star center is hurt so we can have a chance to win. Then when they make a run in the NCAA tourney, we can say we played those two teams tough. Next year we can win. lol

Cheering for the home team makes you "American?" Most Americans cheer their alma mater or the team they grew up with.

I'm moving to AZ this summer and can't wait to support my Cougs in Phoenix. This will be a great game/mini-tourney.
