I bet that this season there will be a few girls that will smoke through the season and easily win it all. My sister played high school golf with the boys and took 3rd place in state her senior season and ended up with a full ride college scholarship to play golf. If there was just a girl's only league she would have easily beat the competition

I think you may have exagerated the 3500 unclaimed scholarships each year. Without extensive research, I seriously doubt that this number is even close to being true.

Nevertheless, credit to Annie for a job well done. In light of the questionable decisions the UHSAA have made the past few years - They certainly got this one right- Thanks to Annie's drive - Annie's influence will never be forgotten by any girl playing HS golf in this state.

ATTN FEMALE GOLFERS
THERE IS SCHOLARSHIP MONEY OUT THERE!!! MY SON WAS A TOP HS GOLFER AND DIDNT GET A PENNY FOR BEING ON HIS COLLEGE GOLF TEAM. BUT WE HAVE SINCE HEARD THAT LOCAL COLLEGES OFFERING FULL RIDES FOR GIRLS...WHILE THE BOYS GET PENNIES. SO GIRL GOLFERS... GO FOR IT WHILE THE GETTIN IS GOOD!!

I agree that the 3500 is probably a bit off, but regardless there are still a lot less female golfers than say soccer or basketball. Hats off to Annie, she has been awesome through this entire thing. I hope all goes well in the girls first season ever. Best of luck, tear it up out there!

girl... golf. oh my gosh no one told me> i'm pretty upset because back in my day like last year. uh no golf for girls. i'm happy they have it now but what about me? i wanted to acheive my dream and never can but whatever good luck.

Let's spend a little more money on the girls. What a difference from the boys program. What values are we teaching them???
