Enter commentYou can tell a lot about some one on how they handle victory and defeat. Especially when they are having limited minutes. I hope the CJ keeps a good attitude because it seems to be helping. Go defensive JAZZ!

This Miles kid can play.I don't care how many reveiws he's missed. Jerry you and this team will go alot farther if you forget about last years Rocky Mtn. reveiw,it's playoff time now and the past is history. How many current 21 year olds in the NBA have had 29 pt. games? I would have traded my golf clubs to have a kid like this on my team.
Craig | 8:47 a.m. April 3, 2008
I have always loved CJ's potential and still do, I hope he gets the picture that Defense is what Sloan wants. CJ has a career night with 29 pts and Sloan starts Price in place of Brewer because of his hustle and defense. I hope the Jazz see what they have in this kid and do what it takes to keep him. I agree that Sloan needs to forget about the summer league thing and start doing things to help this kid develope all of his potential. He could be the go to man in a few years if they will keep him and develope him. He is exactly what we need. Go CJ

Ron, I couldn't agree with you more. I wouldn't part with my driver though. With Miles playing as good as he as and with our starting two gaurd out I was a bit perplexed to see him not get in the game until it was over.
Sloans and O'Connors refrence to Miles missing the review again last week was childish. Let's move on guys. If missing the review will cause guys to play like Miles has in his limited appearances this year lets cancel the review altogether.

I that where the case Jerry, then why bring up the RMR?? Quite frankly, CJ's emergence makes me want to get rid of Kirilenko, more and more.
ID Jazz | 9:52 a.m. April 3, 2008
Amazing how fast AK heals when someone who plays his position puts up 29pts.
Sloan | 9:55 a.m. April 3, 2008
Sloan is childish. How could he expect athletes making millions to work during the summer? That's crazy. Sloan is a terrible coach. I know myself and any other geniuses writing on these message boards could easily win over 1000 games in the NBA. He doesn't know what he is talking about.
Kent A | 10:12 a.m. April 3, 2008
Ron and Kirk are right. But I will tell you get rid of AK and lets take CJ for a few miles. He could caddy for me any day. Miles is the future AK is the past. He can be a star in Memphis or Minnesota. CJ can go for a title.
Bart Nelson | 10:14 a.m. April 3, 2008
Ron is wrong. The revue is important for young players. Lets get ready for the revue this July. I'll bet Almond & Fess is there.
re:sloan | 10:17 a.m. April 3, 2008
Sloan gets credit for winning 1,000+ games, but it was really Stock and Malone.
On the Miles front, jerry will always put himself above the team, every other coach in the league would have started Miles last night, but jerry has to show everyone that he is the boss and no one is going to tell him what to do. Price as a 2 guard ahead of Miles, come on jerry??? For once, do what is best for the team and not reminding everyone how tough you are.

I have never been a CJ fan, but he is starting to win me over. I was a little worried about him missing the RMR mostly that it may have been an attitude thing, but he seems to be handling his situation better than most would. I think the jazz are a better team ( at least lately) with him rather than AK. I really like Price as a backup, but would rather see CJ start at the two while Brewer is out. All in all I think it would be in the best interest of the Jazz and AK to trade him this summer. The Jazz have some young guys with a ton of potential.

I think everyone is on here to push there own agenda to get rid of Sloan. Most of the time I believe Sloan does a great job. There are somethings I have issues with but he's a great coach(ask anyone in nba)and I'm not so I let him do his job I mean its not like we have a losing record. But as for Miles I dont care if you make no money or millions your still an athlete and you have a coach otherwise whats the point of coaches. As for the Summer League it is an opportunity for coaches and fans to see where you're at and if you're ready for minutes. If you worry about getting injured then to me you dont have what it takes to play your hardest every game during the season and play offs. I have nothing against Miles and I hope he will adventually get to start for the Jazz but I do believe his defense does need to improve a little. I am slowly starting to loose faith in AK-47 but he still gets the job done week in and week out(of course thats if he's not injured or sick) Continued

I think Price is pretty consistant on both sides off. and def. Hes not a huge point maker but when you have Price and Williams out there you have the gen.(williams)and then you got the sgt.(price) both can open up plays for everyone and when williams isnt runnig the field it opens him up for some more scoring opportunities which Williams can do well. If I had any issues with sloans system it would be that hes so hard about def. but some of the def. plays that he runs make no sense to me. He preaches about int. d but leaves the perimeter wide open now I kind of understand percentage shots but when your playing a perimeter team adjust your perimeter d accordingly but again hes the one with the winning record not me. I guess its alot like gambling you have to play the odds if you want to win more than lose but I do agree with people that think big risks can reward big wins but it can go either way. I dont want to be a team that goes through a coach every year. Consistency is the key adventually something will give.

I keep hearing people say we need to get rid of AK. If they would sit back and think for a min. they might realize that AK is still a very valuable piece of the puzzle. How long do you figure Matt Harpring is going to play and be useful? I have seen a big difference in his game this year. His knee has been getting worse each year. I see Harpring being replaced by CJ. CJ plays better at the three than the two. Why I don't know maybe match-ups. I like the idea of Price starting at the two, if you look at the past times that the Jazz have run the two point guard line ups they are very effective. It gives them two ball handlers on the court at the same time. When DWill goes to the bench it allows Price to already have a feel for the flow of the game. Just like last year with Fisher. And for all you Sloan hatters, I am glad we have Sloan coaching the Jazz. He is the reason that they have been so consistant year in and year out.
If you are so good why are-you-not-a-coach-in-the-NBA?

Re; ujazzfanzz | 1:02 p.m. April 3, 2008
even though AK can and does help the team occasionally, he is not worth the money they are paying him. It might be a different story if he played like he has in the past years night in and night out but he doesn't. Fisher was a good back up for Dwill, but got beat like a drum at the two. I like Price a lot and think he did a decent job at the two, but he is not a two and would be in trouble with a lot of the two guards in the league. I think its good that the jazz have more options this year and the ability to move guys around.

First off CJ Has proven himself in my book and it seems like we win alot more when AK is injured anyway. Sloan needs to forget that.
All you whiners and complainers who like to criticize everything sloan does, needs to hop on the knicks bandwagon where there is nothing to do but complain, and take AK''s injury faking butt with you,so we can make room to see for MILES&MILES&MILES.

I think Jerry should bring up the fact that Miles didn't attend the rocky mtn review like 20 more times this year!! then maybe he will sign with us. Not....luckily we have his rights or the right to match any offer he recieves. This is just stupid to bring it up at this point....why Jerry Why?? let it go!! it's a mute point. C.J. isn't better because he didn't play in the revue, it's because he hasn't gotten consistent minutes this season!!!!!
Anoymous | 4:33 p.m. April 3, 2008
The Jazz should keep C.J. Miles, definitely. He'd be more consistent, he keeps his attitude up beat and he's a nice kid.
A.K. 47, I'm not sure what's going on with him, he's inconsistant of late. Sometimes he makes his shot right on and other times they don't even touch the rim. Sometimes his play is way too sloppy for the amount of money he is getting. Way overpaid.
I can't say anything good about their defense though. It seems when things get really bad in a game and the Jazz are starting to go downhill is when everyone kicks in on defense. So far they've been lucky the last few games and those third and fourth quarter pushes have bailed them out. I wish they would quit that come-lately deal. It's not good.

The review was like 10 months ago. I think CJ miles is ready now.
The review shouldn't even be an issue anymore.
The fact that it is shows the mentality of sloan.
If we get rid of Ak then the Jazz will have no shot blocker at all. And harpring is not going to be around that much longer.
The fact that he is payed so much money is not his fault. Yet you all want to blame him for it. When the blame should go to management.
And if he is payed so much shouldn't sloan find a way to utililize him and his talents more. The russians found a way.
Maybe open up the offense rather that continuing the same old go nowhere pick and roll.
It's proven with two of the greatest running the system for 17 years that it doesn't win champioships, just a few games.

Well same old story. 2 years ago it was last game CJ put 23 or something like that. Everybody star oh how he good he is. Started new season ...after 15 game he was nowhere. He still young and inconsistent. He will be good player but can't be second AK. AK is not playing because he's not part of game plan again. Let him go. He doesn't deservetoplay for Sloan looser( big time loose

Let's clear the air.
First of all, Miles didn't play in the RMR becasue HIS AGENT told him not to play. Miles was a free agent and had he been injured during the RMR, he would have lost ANY chance to earn a paycheck in the NBA. I doubt playing
Does anyone REALLY think that playing in 6 RMR games would have made any difference?? Really!?
It was Sloan's ignorance that made it an issue.
It is Sloan's hubris that has hurt and hindered young guys in the past. The trend continues.
They may not be ready to be starters as rookies, but why not HELP them develop by coming off the bench?
DWill was ready three years ago. CJ was ready two years ago. Brewer was ready last year. MoAlmo is ready this year.
Only Sloan's Pride is standing in the way.

Cj needs to play he has so much potential, just look when he plays what he does! Look at his attitude he is always being positive and is ready when he does play! I love Sloan and glad he is the coach but he needs to get over the RMR! I think Cj should back-up kirilenko not harpring! Harpring is going downhill. Let Cj prove himself
