Your ignorance shows that you are either a byu fan or out of touch with reality! Or both the two are kind of one and the same.

What about Coach Lewis from Lone Peak? He is a local guy that has done well and can coach the big games. Could he be in the mix?

what about Jason Kreis?
Good job | 8:22 a.m. April 8, 2008
How many Utah assistants over the past 5 years are now head coaches? That's how you measure how good of a job this is. Rupp is at Louisiana Tech, Hunsaker is at UVU, Wilson is at Pepperdine. If people see this as a good place to launch a career, they will want to come.
Just Maybe... | 9:45 a.m. April 8, 2008
I saw Kelvin Sampson a local restaraunt last week and my first thought was the Utah head coaching job. It's hard to imagine a coach of his caliber as an assistant under Boylen. But then again there may not be many schools willing to bring him on to head up there basketball programs. Even though his reputation has been tarnished he would still bring alot of experience and knowledge to the U of U basketball team, which is sorely needed right now.
No Kelvin Sampson | 10:21 a.m. April 8, 2008
The Utah athletic department would have to be morons to allow Kelvin Sampson within a mile of campus, let alone the assistant coaching position. Mr. Sampson is radioactive at this point and won't get back into college coaching for a long time. If ever. The Utes can do much better for themselves. How about Tommy Connor? Or how about bringing back Juddy? He's a traitor, but a great assistant coach.
Jensen Brothers | 10:34 a.m. April 8, 2008
Bring in one of the Jensen brothers. Alex or Andy. Both have coaching experience in the collegiate level. Tommy Connor is a good one as well.

No experience and I'm willing to give up my career to start. How bout it?

How about Salt Lake Community College's Norm Parrish. He has been the coach at SLCC for the past seventeen years. He just finished coaching his team to a 32-4 record, the Region 18 championship and his team played in the NJCAA national championship game. He has done a terrific job for the Bruins.

Terry Wilson is quite the fan. No one seems to realize that the Utes actually won more games than last year! In a first year, without any recruits, I'd say this is improvement. I'm sick and tired of "fans" saying that Boylen is viewed as a "roller coaster personality and character," who views him like this? You? BYU fans? Guess what, the players opinion matters much more than anyone else's! Stop acting like you are a ESPN analyst with inside sources and act like a fan! Or defect.

No, all you have to do is read about what other MW coaches say about him and watch him when he coaches and you'll know exactly what the first poster is talking about.
2 coaches won't leave a program for no reason at all.

What, upset that Boylen is lighting a fire in conference games? I loved the fact that Wyoming fans now hate U of U more then the TDS; Makes the games more exiting to watch in my opinion. If we can make the games more exiting we all win.
MWC basketball has become stale and needs a good fire!

Oh...sorry guys. Boylen was super popular at the final four. Do you see his prime time interview at halftime? Or did you miss that one? Then did you see the report about Pat Riley and Phil Jackson calling him and offering advice on assistants?
Oh geez. I'm wrong. Ute basketball is back along with circus microphone post game shows.
Yeah... we are on the right track. Next year at this time, our RPI will be in the top 10.
Wake up and stop smoking whatever you are smoking.

I'm a die hard Ute fan but some of my fellow fans make me sick. They are afraid of emotion! Majerus used to break phones and all that jazz. I've watched Boylen coach thank you, and I've sat right behind him and I love it. You people are too worried about what other people think. If the team likes him, they'll play hard, and thats how you win, not by other coaches thinking you are a great coach. How many t's did he get over the year? The way you are talking he should have had about 30. CALM DOWN!

Two coaches didn't leave for no reason at all. One had an opportunity to become a head coach and the other was contacted by Morrill and decided he wanted a change. Doesn't mean that there was anything wrong with Boylen or the program.
yeah | 3:48 p.m. April 9, 2008
Jonesie had been there forever, maybe his thought was put in a few good years an assistant at USU and when stew retires he'd be in the running for the job, Boylen will last longer than most thingk.
