A very informative article about the "Utah War." He gives new insights, but he believes his two volumes of nearly 1000 pages is only the tip of the iceberg of what may yet be discovered. I hope to read his books.

Having seen parts of the manuscript and knowing Bill MacKinnon's other work, I know this will be a fascinating read. Rather than a dry collection of official documents, this is the human story in hundreds of its facets. Bill pulls the reader into the midst of the uncertainty of the moment and leaves one wondering what will happen next in this unusually dramatic era of the late 1850s in Utah.
