I'm a bit surprised the Ute D-coaches didn't make it clear to the D-players that you don't smash quarterbacks in the head during practice, especially when BJ (starter) is still recovering. I don't think Louks is seriously hurt, but he could have been. Why chance it?

Watching on the news I know the hit to Louks wasn't appreciated at all by the Ute coaching staff. Different philosophies are interesting. The Utes seem to be planning on a game like scrimmage to end the season, which they hope will better fine tune the team. The Cougs decided to play mostly greenies and avoid injuries. I'm sure there's benefit to both ways of thinking.

I see 200+ yards per game rushing this year. This really should open up the passing game. I'm sure the defense will be good.

I think the key will be our ability to punch the ball in on the goal line. We've struggled the last few years but the big backs we have should lead to substantial improvement in this area.

does he celebrate and go nuts this year like he did last year after 5 yard gains?

If you were averaging about 5 yds per carry when you were a true freshman wouldn't you be pretty pumped too? Come on now it's great to see that kind of enthusiasm out on the field.
