I just read the article about all the Soliders returning home from Iraq, What a neat suprise for their family & children to get to see their loved ones again, It is fun to be reunited with family again, It is like the song from Lemisrables says bring him home, I think that we should all read the words to that, Bring Him Or Her Home

Ken,
You have the right to speak your mind because brave people like the Soldiers of the 116th stand guard, day and night throughout the world, sacrificing more than you can begin to imagine, all for the sake of making some small difference for good. They are willing to serve something bigger than themselves. These Soldiers, side by side with Marines, Airmen, Sailors, Coast Guardsmen AND THEIR FAMILIES past and present ask only that we as a nation take a moment to really appreciate the blessings of freedom. For over 31 years I have had the sacred opportunity to serve and am currently spending my sixth year away from my family. I think I've earned the privilege to say for all of us.....You're Welcome.

From one who served many years ago, THANKS to these who have served our country (us) and welcome back home.
At the same time THANKS to those who have served and will serve our country whether it be in Iraq or some other foreign assignment or right here in the States.
Whether your job was civilian or military and whether someone was shooting at you or you were working to provide the resources needed to make our country a better place, we appreciate your efforts as well. GOD BLESS YOU and THANKS from me!

Welcome home and thank you for your service. Please all of you soldiers schedule an appointment with the VA hospital whether you feel you need to or not. You may not need the VA hospital now but you may need them last in life.

As the wife of a soldier in Afghanistan, thanks to all of you coming home and WELCOME BACK! And especially thanks to all of your families.
When the time comes that we CAN vacation in Iraq and appreciate the beautiful country that I am sure it is, your service there and and the service of your family here at home will have reaped the proper benefits. Thank you for keeping the right attitude. Thank you for your sacrifices. Thank you for risking your life for the sake of freedom.

I agree with you in principle but disagree in application. Plenty of soldiers in Iraq do not see our intervention THERE as defending freedom. I do, however, thank you for your service and sacrifice.

I am very proud of my son and daughter whom have both spent time in Iraq. My daughter just returning with the 116th on the 16 of April, my son returning two years ago with the 148th. I would hope that all of you who are against the war at least recognize the sacrifice these men and women have made. These soldiers and their families are enabling you to live in a free nation. I thank you and my family thanks all of you and your families.

As a U.S. Air Force veteran and survior of the Viet Nam conflict, I want to commend the people of Salt Lake City for their open-minded treatment of these soldiers. "Politics should never intrude on respect".
I have been riding with the Patriot Guard Riders since Oct.'06 and have never been associated with a finer group of people. Every mission brings a roller-coaster ride of emotions. The funeral escorts are heart-breaking, and the welcome homes are exilerating, but they are all important because they give us a chance to say "Thank You" to our wonderful men and women of the Armed Forces for protecting our freedoms and our chosen way of life.
And Ken, I say yes to the palm trees. I know several fellow Viet Nam vets that have returned to that country and they say it was a healing experience and evidence that maybe we actually did something right. Never forget, they gave you the right to speak your mind without fear of retribution.
"Hate the war, don't hate the warrior"
