Several people sitting near me were at their first game and all had a great time, including a guy who called hockey his "new favorite sport." I think the Grizzlies will bounce back and win this series, but either way it's been a terrific season. The guys have played with a lot of heart and energy. Lawson, who rocks the sexy long locks better than Johnny Depp, is an amazing rookie goalie. The Grizzlies are good to their fans (high fiving little kids and signing autographs) and good to the community (raising money for cancer research). Let's be good to them and show our support during the playoffs! It's the most fun you can have that won't end in your appearance on the show "COPS"!

And I notice today that after my comment of the other day, this story made the front page of the web edition. I laughed so hard I almost cried. It's either a coincidence or somebody actually reads these ;-D
Regarding the game - Grizzlies played pretty well, but ran into some classic playoff hockey from Fresno, who shut things down defensively the last half of the game and did an amazing job bottling the Grizzlies in the neutral zone. The shutout belonged as much to the Falcons' defense as to Moreland.

It was a great game even though the win we wanted never happend. What LC said about the team is 100% true. The team this years is a great group of guys who make the fans really feel appreciated. They do a lot for the community every year and I think a lot of it goes unnoticed by a lot of people. I wish there were more stories on the news about the great things they do on and off the ice. Its also true when he said that even though we did lose people still enjoy the game. I started out as one of those anti hockey people until I went to a grizzlies game. Now ever other sport is to boring for me to watch. What a great game and a great team.
