Though I am a very active LDS member, I am stunned to see "0" comments about the Pope from Deseret News readers. I was touched by his impressive thoughts and insights about humanity and delicate needs. He appears to me as one who is striving to magnify his position in a righteous and helpful way. With 1.3 billion members, his plate is full and he is making an incredible worldwide impact for the good of Christianity. He seems to be the embodiment of our 13th article of faith, "We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; indeed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul—We believe all things, we hope all things, we have endured many things, and hope to be able to endure all things. If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things." Go Pope Benedict!

I was moved by the Popes visit. I am attracted to LDS and I'm on the edge of I know not what, but we both have a belief in Jesus Christ, so I was pleased to read that two Elders did get to meet with the Pope. I think the spirit of your late President Gordon Hinckley may have been at work here, he was a man who reached out to other faiths.

Maybe other faiths were reaching out to Hinckley.

No offense, but it is highly doubtful The Holy Father needs to be reached out to by Mormons.
I guess you can say it is a first on the block sort of thing.
