Look at Barrett Perry for the other post. He is a tenacious recruiter and has led College of Southern Idaho to back to back 30 win years. He is from Utah and has LDS ties. Hope he is given the job this week.

What do you mean "getting himself into"? Do you mean that he'll be working with a coach who has drive to win? I don't understand what everyone's problem with Boylen is. I'm a Ute fan and I'm happy we have him. The program made nice strides in just one year and will likely continue to improve. People complain about Boylen’s intensity and competitiveness – don’t you want that in a coach?
Anonymous is right, Johnson seems like a nice guy. I hope he contributes to future success.

How do you know what the working relationship with Boylen and his assistants is like? Do you have some insider knowledge or are you basing your comments solely on what you perceive publicly?
Mr. Johnson is a full-grown man and I have no doubt that his decision to come to Utah was made thoughtfully. Utah is a great university and has a great basketball program and tradition. We are glad to have him on board.

Base on what I have heard, Johnson is so passionate about the game of basketball and about winning that he probably will have fun and ejoy the experience of working with a passionate and hard working coach as Boylen.

He seems like a good fit. Having local ties with a connection to CA is a nice recruiting opportunity for the Utah program. If he's energetic and passionate, he'll fit in with Boylen very well. We need more of that on the hill, including the players. Let's get the program back up where it belongs!! GO UTES!

I grew up with Stan in Taylorsville. He lives for the game of basketball. Even when we were young he studied the game and his passion for the game has always been strong. He will be great for the program, but trust me this is just a stepping stone for him. You will be hearing his name as a head coach in the years to come.

Didn't SUU win on the hill again within the last year or two? I think it was last year.
