T-MAC? Can you say meltdown? Expect another good 3 quarters out of him tonight and then turning in yet another heartless, gutless 4th quarter performance as the Rockets lose another one down the stretch. Then, at the postgame press conference, look for another bashing of his teammates, refs... whoever he can think of. Classless, pathetic and predictable.

I can't believe people are using Rafer Alston's absence as an excuse! This is RAFER ALSTON, not Jason Kidd. This is the same guy that Houston threw under the bus last year after losing game seven, and we're supposed to believe he is their savior, that if he were back games 1 and 2 would have had different outcomes?
He is worse this year than last: points down 13.3 to 13.1, assists down 5.4 to 5.3, turn overs up 2.1 to 2.2, steals down 1.6 to 1.3, free throw attempts down 2.2 to 1.9, 3 pt % down 36 to 35, and minutes down 37 to 34. He shoots below 40% from the field - that's Allen Iverson-esque.
The way they talk about him, you'd think he was on the verge of becoming an all-star. Looks like he's more on the verge of the D league.

Of course it's McLady's fault. If you don't want the pressure, if you don't want the responsibility, if you don't want the glory, THEN DON'T SIGN THE $100 MILLION CONTRACT! We expect you to be a superstar in the fourth quarter and to win playoff series because that is what you signed up for; that is what you are being paid millions of dollars to do!
Understand that when your salary takes up half of a team's salary cap space, you lose your right to complain about not having the right teammates. When you agree to take that much money, you are in essence agreeing take the place of 2-3 other players that the team no longer has the money to sign. Apparently there was an "except in the 4th quarter of the playoffs" clause in the small print of McLady's contract...
Is anyone else tired of the media guilt over holding McLady to his "it's all on me" comments a year ago? They are bending over backwards to convince us that he is a superstar when is clearly letting everyone down. (Barkley, Magic, I'm talking about YOU.)

McGrady is a superstar at whining. Oh yeah, he was tired because the Jazz kept throwing fresh bodies at him. Hmmm. Maybe he should sign with L.A. and let someone else take the heat. If he is such a superstar, why is this is third team? Oh yeah, he only plays three quarters.

McGrady and his cousin share the gene that gives great highlights and no toughness. They can look really pretty but when the real pressure is on...but seriously, someone needs to look into the mixup in the stands...at the prices these guys charge for a beer you should get what you ordered...and if McGrady is implicated in the mixup, it should come out of his check! Some things in life are just more important than others!

"It's my fault a couple of fans ordered Heinekens and got Budweiser." That's the best quote by an athlete that I've heard in a long, long time. I'm still laughing. I don't care if he never gets out of the first round, he just gained a little of my respect.

For those who think the Jazz advancing is a "Done Deal"... Remember the year we were going for the sweep in the first round and only had to win ONE game and we lost concentration and the series? (I think it was Golden State in '89)
Concentrate on closing them out NOW!

Speaking of salaries the Jazz better be careful with current and up coming salaries or they might be in the same situation as the Rockets and many other teams. That means giving away the store to just a few employees. Balance is what wins games and championships, not just one or two superstars.
