Nice idea... but what about all the American kids here who need help?

These young women are showing Christlike love. God's children are all over the world. We all have opportunities to help those who cross our path. It doesn't matter where they are, here, in Russia, or Timbuktu. What have you done lately Mahonri to reach out to a child in need? Way to go Ashley and Jessica! God bless you Marius.

I agree, there are many children everywhere who need help, but the number of times in my life that I have actually been in a position to help someone like Marius personally are almost non-existent. These girls were in a unique position at the right time and place. It would have been much easier for them to have paid a few courtesy visits to Marius and then left him where he was and come home. What Ashley and Jessica are doing is wonderful and will surely have more far-reaching effects than on just one badly burned little boy.

Charity has no borders, like they say, "No man is an island... every man is a piece of the continent, a part of the main... any man's death diminishes me for I am involved in mankind. Therefore ask not for whom the bell tolls, it tolls for thee."
Bells are ringing all around us... I don't care which one is answered first. Look at what these two have done so far... I'd love to see what they can accomplish when they don't have any beurocratic red tape to deal with... just let them finish this project first.

Jessica Free is actually my neighbor in Arizona and our families are close friends. I can tell you that this is the kind of person Jessica is, she is willing to bend over backwards to help anyone. What a great world we could live in if everyone would care for others unconditionally like these girls do.

Do it!! I have spent time working in Romania and I salute your idea, energy, creativity, and kindness.
You will make a difference. Why? Because it is the right thing to do. Help will come.

What a wonderful thing you are doing Jess, I will make him a quilt for when he gets to the states. Love from Joanne Murray and Family in New Zealand
(We met the Free family 14 years ago in Singapore, they were our neighbours and we are hoping to see each other again very soon, fingers crossed)

I am amazed and inspired not only by Ashley and Jessica
but by all those who are researching, sending emails, setting up funds and keeping us informed about Marius, despite their busy lives. It is a great thing you are doing! I am praying for you, that doors will continue to open and your plans for Marius will be able to move quickly forward. Tell Marius I am praying for him and that he can be at Shriners soon.

Wow. What an example Ashley and Jessica are for today's world. Very touching. I pray that all will go well with Marius's surgery.
