The Deseret News' sardonic prelate strikes again.

The Jazz were exposed last night. They do not have the athletes to do much as the playoffs go forward. They are now having a major problem getting past a crippled Rocket team. T-Mac, Battier are both hobbled. Battier did nothing, but McGrady riddled them on one leg. The Jazz truly cannot guard anyone. The middle was taken away from them, so D'Will and Boozer were not able to do their business. The Jazz must regroup for the Friday game, or their season is over. Actually, this game smelled; as in tank job. Was this a call from the Commissioners office, or Larry? I am thinking a back to back sweep by the Lakers in their next series, regardless of their opponent. The Jazz must push the ball, and go hard to the lane if they have any thoughts of advancing.

Go JAZZ!!

Almost on Rock.

I agree with everything you said except, "In the process, the Rockets have made this into a rough, tough series."

I would argue that the Jazz have gotten away from being the second best offense in the league and tried to make this a slow, grind-it-out series.

This is what drives me crazy about Sloan.

Why play to the other teams' strengths? Why not give the green light to have DWill push the fast-break or shoot the ball in the first 10 sec of the shot clock?

The ultimate solution will have to be

Fire/Retire Sloan

What amuses me is that Rock acts as if this game was a "message" from McGrady...rather than a Jazz melt down. Consider this: If McGrady was capable of just doing this to send a message, is it at all reasonable to think that he would not have just done it and won and ended the series to help rest his injuries? Just like Williams, when they are playing hurt, they can be streaky but definitely would not intentionally prolong the series and avoid the rest. It was just one of those games. Where was all this prognostication when the Wizards cleaned up the floor with the Cavs. Was DeShawn sending a "message" to LeBron? Laughable. This stuff happens occasionally. Tracy McGrady's "message" is like the parent telling the kid "if you don't come out of the street you'll get it", and doing nothing until the child stops beleiving, then taking credit for the strict punishment when the child happens to get run over by a bus!

Maybe the Jazz don't want to face the Laker's next round and don't care if they loose. Looks that way to me....talk about an ugly game the Jazz played. Houston had their way with the Jazz. They got all their shots and stumped Boozer into an unproductive showing for him. The turn overs were horrific. What else could possibly go wrong in a game for the Jazz. Sometimes I wonder where their minds go to during games, it's like they are sleep walking.
Doesn't matter I'll still be a fan of the Jazz.....GO JAZZ.

How many times dating back to the dark ages have the Jazz had a stinkey playoff game and then rebounded with a vengeance? We don'tr need the naysayers
