T-MAC | 6:47 a.m. May 1, 2008
What two players in the history of the Jazz have dominated utah? Michael Jordan and T-MAC!!! Sorry Jazz fans i want you all to hush hush and start supporting Real Salt Lake your soccer team cuz this series is over! We have world champion banners what is in ESA? Division banners!
ZEKE | 7:27 a.m. May 1, 2008
By the time the fourth quarter had started this game was over. Sure it was easy to score, the Jazz defence was soft the entire game. It`s no wonder Mcgrady or is it grady had an easy time scoring along with the rest of the team.
Sure.... | 8:03 a.m. May 1, 2008
T-Mac has dominated the Jazz? How? By losing to them in the playoffs last year and going 3-8 against the Jazz this season? Live in the past as much as you want with your championship over 12 years ago, the Rockets aren't making it past the first round... again.

Pressure | 8:05 a.m. May 1, 2008
The difference between game 5 and the other games is that there was no pressure. I could have scored in game 5 against the Jazz because they were already looking to game 6. T-Mac is a choker when it counts.
Re: T-MAC | 8:13 a.m. May 1, 2008
What champion banners have come since you lost Clyde the Glide and Hakeem the Dream....Oh...NONE! The series is not over....Time to put the fishin' hats on the rockets!
smac | 8:14 a.m. May 1, 2008
three of six shooting in a fourth quarter that was meaningless! that means nothing. look at the stats of the close games that the rockets lost... Stacey didn't play well in those games.... hmmmmm..... Oh, and as a sidenote, I wouldn't compare any rockets (or jazz players for that matter) to Jordan--what a joke!
Motto | 8:32 a.m. May 1, 2008
I have a new motto for you Jazz fans it should be your state motto for the one professional team you have ONE AND DONE!!!
fossil | 8:34 a.m. May 1, 2008
if we do get eliminated who would want to face the dreded lakers and the jerk kobe who was rude to the utah fans......notice he shoots about 50 times a game. i wonder what the percentage is......
Sleepy | 9:05 a.m. May 1, 2008
T-Mac had better be rested. He is always half asleep--just look at his eyes. It makes me chuckle to hear the Rockets fans stating that this series is over when we own a 3-2 lead with game 6 at home. Can't wait until the end of Friday's game. The greatest thing about a Jazz series win, other than seeing Tracey--by the way, isn't that a girl's name--will be the silencing of the uber-obnoxious Rockets fans. Look forward to reading, or not, the comments from the lame on Saturday
DOMINATION | 9:05 a.m. May 1, 2008
McGrady 4th Quarter Summary:

Games 1-2: 0 for 3 shooting
Games 3-4: 3 for 9 shooting
Game 5 : 3 for 6 shooting

Series Total: 6 for 19 shooting

T-Mac going 32% in the 4th quarter this series. Can you say domination...dominator..the dominatrix???

Maybe the Jazz philosophy should be guard the other Rockets and leave McGrady alone to shoot, kind of like guys leave Collins open from 12 out...oh wait, Collins shoots a better percentage....my bad!
AWOL | 9:16 a.m. May 1, 2008
If Boozer were in the Army he'd be courtmartialed for being AWOL during this whole series. He's a big-time loozer when the chips are down.
funny | 9:17 a.m. May 1, 2008
yea it doesnt matter what tmac did in the 4th. but at the start of the game, it was tmac who kept the rokets on top. 2 point lead in the first. then bench came in and tmac kept the lead with his 11 points in the first. then in the 3rd he scored 10 to keep the jazz from makeing the games close. no pressure says a jazz fan? its game 5 elimination and you say there is no pressure on the rockets? you jazz need to realize that the rockets offense has found its groove. if it carries over for game 6, all the pressure is on the jazz.
Jazz in 6 | 9:21 a.m. May 1, 2008
Ya, Tmac dominates the Jazz, thats why he is going to be 0-7 in the playoffs this Friday night. Quit living in the past. Who cares what Houston did 35 years ago. The Jazz just wanted some rest for this Friday and to give the rockettes some fake confidence because they felt bad for them.
Really, the rockettes defense has been really really good but look for the Jazz to have a quicker step and finally have a good game this series.

Jazz in 6!!!
Radical | 9:28 a.m. May 1, 2008
It's Time!....Go Rockets....Take it back home for a game seven.
rox vs lakers | 9:29 a.m. May 1, 2008
rox 2-1 vs the lakers this season
jazz best to come? | 9:41 a.m. May 1, 2008
ever since they starting talking, they have been doing pretty bad. boozer said he and dwil can get 30 a night each, if not ak harpring okur will give 20-25 if they did bad. so far all i have seen is talk and no play. rox d has been good and now the offense has come along. jazz be afraid, be very afraid. especially if the rockets start shooting 45%+.
ocjazz | 10:01 a.m. May 1, 2008
To Motto...how do you figure ONE and DONE??? Let me see in 2007, the JAZZ defeated Yao & TMac in 1st round, kicked GS' butts in 2nd round, but lost to SA...so that's 3 and DONE. Now, "Rockettes" lost to JAZZ after 2-0 and home court advantage in 1st round. Hm...that looks like ONE and DEAD!!!!!!
re: funny | 10:13 a.m. May 1, 2008
I have an AUNT named Tracy. I also have a co-worker named Tracy. BOTH ARE GIRLS......no wonder the crying and whinning come natural to TRACY Mac.
Re: Re: T-MAC | 10:19 a.m. May 1, 2008
What champion banners have come for Jazz since...ever? ....Oh...NONE! Remember Karl Malone begged door by door for a ring?!
J Sos | 10:28 a.m. May 1, 2008
I am a huge Rocket fan but very realistic and the chances of us making it out of the first round are very slim but you people making fun of T-Mac's name. You belong in the 2nd grade. The Rockets will come out in game 6 and keep it close and have a chance with 5 minutes to go in the game and we'll see what happens. All I can say I'm proud of my depleted Rockets for their performance can you say that of your Jazz's performance so far. Final word: we had a better record than you in the regular season and pushing you at least 6 without Yao. I hope you enjoy the first round win because that will be it for the Jazz.-Out
STEVE-O | 10:45 a.m. May 1, 2008
I love how most of the media (Majic Johnson especially) try to protect T-Mac like he's a small child or something. They say he's a superstar even after he plays consistently crappy in every 4th quarter. People sit here and praise his 3-6 shooting like he's MJ or something. All he does is lose in the playoffs every year! This year will be no different and we ALL know it including mcsleepy himself!
Moto X | 11:04 a.m. May 1, 2008
Tracy McLady shot fairly well in the 4th AFTER the game was already decided. Very impressive!!

Once the pressure is off and his team mates got him the lead he was able to hit a few open shots. Wow.

Most all the analysts picked Jazz in 6 to start this. Houston is a good team and it was silly to think we would win 3 games on their homecourt. They really ought to be embarrassed about losing the first two!!

Jazz in 6. Our bench will play much better at home--just like Houstons did and that will be the difference in the game.
daniel | 11:05 a.m. May 1, 2008
Jazz is going to complete it in game 6, becasue Yao is out of game.
Re: J Sos | 11:22 a.m. May 1, 2008
Looks like you are already gearing up for a short season. The Jazz didn't do well in game 5, but other than that, they have played good. Really, they have won 3 out of 5, I would say that is pretty good. You say that you are proud of the Rockets, I understand that the last game did give you a reason to be proud of them, but what about the first 2 home games? I felt bad for their fans in those 2 games, paying all that money to watch their team get schooled by Kirilenko on their own home court. My sympathy goes out to you all. Yes, the Rockets did take one game in Salt Lake, by luck and the officials giving them 5 points that they should never have gotten, but they will not get another, you can stake your life on that one. Also, people make fun of T-Mac because he is a crier. If the Rockets lose, he says it is because the other players didn't help him out and play good. If they win, he says it is because "I" did this, and "I" did that. T-Mac should change his name to T-CHOKE!
McSleepy? | 11:23 a.m. May 1, 2008

fUN | 11:31 a.m. May 1, 2008
This is great, I love watching these two sides battle out to see who gets to be demolished by the Lakers. Let's face, the Jazz are playing mediocre ball, and the Rockets at their best can barely hang with an average Jazz team. Lakers and Spurs in the WC Finals; get used to the idea.

Meanwhile, I'll sit back and watch these two average teams trash talk about who is the most average team...
Rich | 11:42 a.m. May 1, 2008
I admire McGrady because he can create his own shot any time he wants; yet he is a team player first, often passing to an open player. And he handles himself professionally except when he occasionally complains about the officiating. If the truth be told, the officials decide most games by giving the home team the benefit of the doubt on close calls and even a few not-so-close calls. My fear is that in Game 6 the Jazz might not get the home cooking that Houston got in Game 5. The Jazz could still win by continuing to push the ball inside, occasionally passing out to open three-point shooters, but if the Jazz back down on defense after getting called for a few touch fouls, they'll fail to win. Regardless of the refs, they need to continue to play physically on defense. And when a guy's hot on the outside jumper, don't leave him!
yendor | 11:44 a.m. May 1, 2008
I am so sick of T.McBaby and his band of babies crying about getting beat up by the Jazz. They whine to the news media and the officials how rough the Jazz are while knocking Jazz players on the floor or into the benches.Give it to McBaby. He has the refs on his side now calling every bump on the Jazz players and getting away with all his crap. How can he be guarded? He drives and it is automatic free throws. Helps to whine.Maybe he needs cheese to go along with it.
Realistic Jazz Fan | 11:46 a.m. May 1, 2008
Gracie McLady can't stand pressure. Look at his playoff record, and what he has done in this series when the game wasn't over by the fourth quarter. Most experts predicted the Jazz in six, and that is what will happen. Booze will come out of his slump, Korver & Memo will hit there open 3's, and it will be a big Jazz win. Bring on the Lakers.
Bandwagon Laker Fans | 11:52 a.m. May 1, 2008
All you Laker fans are a joke the Lakers are always gonna be a good team but this year they are done IF they get through the Jazz there is no way they beat New Orleans or San Antonio so Lakers played the Nuggets first round they have not been tested so Laker fans I dont want any trash talk until your tested
re: T-MAC | 12:02 p.m. May 1, 2008
Okay, we'll give up on a team that can at least win some title of some kind, while you pay high taxes to support a stadium for a team that can't even win.

Hmmmm, do we want to be like the T-MAC poster? You talked us into it!
It's funny you don't hear | 12:03 p.m. May 1, 2008
Utah whine about the physical play when they lose, but when the Rockets lose, they're all up in arms about Utah being too physical. Utah will win on Friday and the best part will be watching McGrady walk off the court knowing he failed to make it out of the first round yet again.
RE JOS | 12:31 p.m. May 1, 2008
People make fun of Tracy's name because he maded fun of Deron's name in a press conference. He said he couldn't pronounce it and didn't even know his name. That's why we are making fun of his name. and besides it is a girls name and he is a crier.
Guaranteed Jazz Win Friday | 12:32 p.m. May 1, 2008
How can I guarantee it? Steve Javey already called last game and most likely won't officiate on Friday. Therefore, it won't be 5 on 6 and the Jazz win.
Houston_native | 12:43 p.m. May 1, 2008
I honestly don't know what you Jazz fans are bragging about...you're franchise haven't done much but create a lot of lame whining fans. So what if we won our back to back titles 15 years ago...we still hold bragging rights until you win one. And should we be embarrassed for losing our first 2 at home? We didn't have two of our starters!!! We still put up a better fight than the Jazz did in game 5. We don't even need Yao against yall...if we had Rafer Alston in the first two games this series would be over by now. Tmac is a gifted player...everyone knows that...yea he didn't get past the 1st round in his 10 year career...so what!! Playoff wins and championships are a TEAM accomplishment. What the guy has accomplished on an individual level can't be touched by any of your scrub jazz players. The guy is still a guaranteed HOF...so give credit where its due. Anyways TMAC is only 29 years old...and the way that we are giving the jazz the run for their money with the best center in the league sitting in street clothes,I see championship banners in the future!!!
not to be negative | 12:56 p.m. May 1, 2008
The only way McGrady is going to be in the HOF is when people mention is scoring explosion at the end of that spurs game. Other than that he is a very talented underachiever, who never figured out how to care on a consistant basis.
Anonymous | 1:00 p.m. May 1, 2008
Lakers over the Jazz - they are better.
The Truth | 1:04 p.m. May 1, 2008
Jazz by 10+ in the next game. I've seen it so many times in the NBA. Remember last year, we blew out SA and lost the next game. Houston beware, your season is about to come to and end and it won't be pretty. Can Jerry-with more of Phil's suggestions loosen up on the uncreative play calling which is really helping Houston's D-fense. Had D-will not gone one on one against Rafer at the end of game 4 we might have lost that one as well. Run at every opportunity...let D-will take Rafer and then when they focus on him.....it's time for the 3 bomb! P.S. if Utah loses this series.....should Jerry be fired? his record is the about the same as Avery's in the post season! that wouldn't happen in Utah would it??
Tested and proven | 1:08 p.m. May 1, 2008
Tested and proven - number one seed. Lakers do not fear the little Jazzies. Did "good guy" Kirilenko cash in on his once a year?
STEVE-O | 1:40 p.m. May 1, 2008
@ Houston Native
So by that thought process the Rockets should shut their mouths because the Celtics have won so many Championships, and the Spurs are way better than the Rockets just because they have won a few more titles than the Rockets! The Lakers are obviously automatically better than the Rockets every year until the Rockets win more championships than them! So I'll make a deal with you... I'll shut my mouth as soon as you shut yours!
P.S. Mcgrady deserves all the smack talk he gets because HE is the one who takes all the credit for wins... yet accepts NO responsiblity for losses! It's "All on me"... until he loses, then it's the refs or a coaching decision, or a team mates fault!
JAFO | 1:42 p.m. May 1, 2008
houston_native we are not playing 15 years ago, we are playing today. it's great that you won 2 titles, live in the past if it makes you feel better. I'm tired of hearing you wine about a depleted team, I don't remember hearing you houston people make excuses during the 22 game winning streak( which was remarkable). this is the same team that did that and they are a good team but they are down 3-2 right now. whoever advances will be decided on the court and it will be whoever pulls their heads out and just play good ball.
Laker smack? | 1:49 p.m. May 1, 2008
There will be time enough to talk about the Lakers. For now we begin to grieve for Rocket fans everywhere. All they will find in the Toyota Center when they show up for "game seven" will be funeral casseroles, wilting flowers, and black cloth draped from the balconies.

T-Mac will have proven once again that he understands losing and how to do it better than anyone in the NBA, even Isiah Thomas.

We weep for Rockets fans. They know no joy. They fear the reaper. He will come calling for them tomorrow night at 10 p.m. Sadness will reign once again in south Texas.

Re: JAFO and Steve-O.
Steve-O your're right...when it comes to championships I really can't really say much to a Spurs fan. Luckily im here talkin smack to a bunch of Jazz fans right? Jafo you got it wrong buddy. I am in no way "whining" about Yao Ming being out; injuries are part of the game...I am actually PROUD of the fact that we continued our 22 game winning streak without the big fella and made it all the way from the 10th spot to the 4th spot and the fact that we are putting a healthy franchise that are supposed to be championship contenders on their heels. I'm just putting things into perspective when you guys talk all this smack whenever you guys win a game against us...so wat? Now when this "depleted" Rox team blows the Jazz out by 26 that is something to brag about...GO ROX!!!

Remember when T-Mac was crying after game 7 last year?? I cant wait to see that again after friday nights game!
RE Houston_native | 2:21 p.m. May 1, 2008
Houston would have won 0 titles if a man by the name of Michael Jordan didn't retire the 2 years Houston won them. Those 2 titles should have astericks by them. What do you guys think?
STEVE-O | 2:27 p.m. May 1, 2008
I remember the beginning of the season the Rockets were picked by many to WIN the Western Conference and have the best record in the West! It's funny how a few months can change the Houston fans expectations. Now you are all gushing over the fact that they are managing to barely hang on to a slight hope of moving on! I think most Rockets fans will accept getting to second round and consider it a succesfull season! We Jazz fans expected a championship at the start of the season.. and we expect it now!
To Anonymous Houston Fan | 2:30 p.m. May 1, 2008
I wouldn't say being down 3-2 is putting the Jazz on their "heels". Houston's win was big, but they still trail in the series. That's great you are proud of Houston's 22 game win streak. You can enjoy that satisfaction once Utah wins Friday.
WAKE UP | 3:07 p.m. May 1, 2008
SLOAN WILL YOU PLEASE REALIZE THAT ADELMAN HAS SEEN THE PICK AND ROLL OF THE JAZZ MANY TIMES AND KNOW HOW TO DEFEND IT - AS NOTED IN RECENT GAMES. BOOZER ISN'T THE ONLY PLAYER THAT YOU CAN USE ON THE PICK AND ROLL. THROW THE ROCKETS OFF GUARD AND RUN IT WITH KIRILENDO OR OKUR.
HAKEEM OLAJUWON from 94n95 | 3:08 p.m. May 1, 2008
Housotn will win the next game in Utah, the momentum has swung.#34 spirit will be with Houston in Utah once again
Big Friday | 3:59 p.m. May 1, 2008
Why are all the Rockets fans playing the underdog? Weren't you picked to win the Western Conference this year? Didn't you have the better record? The 22 game winning streak? And T-Mac, (evidently the only all-star according to you) in the series? Are you just preparing your fragile psyches for the inevitable on Friday?

Healthy or not, Jazz took care of the Rockets in '07 with Yao. Besides, getting to the end of the season healthy is part of being a contender. (D-Will has been playing hurt, but you don't hear him using it as a crutch.)

Credit the Rockets...they played some physical ball and out-hustled the Jazz on Tuesday. But, Houston fans (and coach), when the Jazz get physical on Friday at our place and close the deal, try and have a little class and not complain about the Jazz roughing up your team.
