Several issues with this article. If he had a BAC of 2.19, he would be dead. It is physically impossible to have 2% BAC. It most likely was .219 BAC. .5 BAC is considered a lethal dose.
Now, the legal limit in Utah is .08 BAC So, how is .219 BAC 28 times .08?
Let's get the reporting correct.

Gardner is a Republican who served as County Commissioner in Utah County. The Republican Party is so corrupt and ugly. I'd be a Republican most other places, but I just can't do it here.

That police officer may well have saved his life and possibly the lives of innocent people who were also on the highway.
Give his family a break! Lock him up to protect himself and them until he gets out of denial.
