President Monson's message was very important. "Find joy in the journey" means this: enjoy serving the men in your lives because you are helping THEM achieve and accomplish things toward their destinations. But as for YOU, women, YOU have NO DESTINATION! No destiny. No achievement or accomplishment towards which you are working. That is why you should enjoy the journey. You are a means to an end. The MEN of the Church are the ENDS, and you are to serve THEM!

That is what the message said.

The message of not putting off joy when it can be had today was also part of President Monson's April Ensign message. We should find joy in all moments of our life, and not just anticipate it as some people do.

I think women need to have goals for themselves, not just to serve men and to have babies and be homemakers. That may be fine for some, but it is not the way every woman must live. But your comment is a bit too much, isn't it?

Your 'review' was not even twistable from what he said. Maybe you have an agenda to demean the church and this was just an opportunity.
You obviously did not hear the talk.

I heard the whole talk, and it was supportive, uplifting, respectful and fully the real message of the Father to his daughters, who are just as important as men, always have been, always will be.

Where were you? Clearly not listening to Pres. Monson!
At least read the article before you treat us to your opinion!

Clearly, Anonymous has an axe to grind. If you will look on the other stories in LDS Newsline, there is a hateful comment from an "Anonymous" in each one, all logged in between 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. This is clearly a person to be pitied, who has nothing better to do with his life than to spend a lovely Saturday afternoon venting his anti-Mormon venom. It's pretty clear he doesn't even read the articles -- just takes a few key words and vents. How sad to live a life buried in such negativity! If he would take the time to read what President Monson actually said, he would find counsel that is positive, hopeful and uplifting, for men and women. But when you're trolling with hate, such positivity is obviously upsetting. My recommendation (albeit unsolicited) to you, Anonymous, is you might want to avoid the LDS Newsline in the future -- this kind of hopeful, helpful, faithful stuff is clearly not for you.
