Go Jazz! Great win tonight! Bring on the Lakers. I think if they Jazz can play like they did tonight against the Lakers they will have a great shot. Deron Williams was out of control!

What did I tell some of you doubting Thomases last night? I told you that I called the two losses for the Jazz and I also told you that the Jazz would the fourth game tonight and they did! I get a gut feeling for wins and losses. sometimes it scares me , and thats no Bull.I have no feeling one way or the other about the Jazz and Lakers game sunday. if I do I will enter it on the Blog. I do think the Jazz has a slight edge for the first game. just slight tho. nothing certain at this point.

i'll bet Tracy M rues the interview he had at the half, when ask why he wanted to win so bad. his answer: "I hate the Jazz fans... they have every one believing that they can't lose at home, and thats my reason...may not have been his exact words, but close to it. he owes the Fans an apology. it was so un-professional!

Good riddance to T-MAC!! There was actually a part of me that felt sorry for him and their team not getting past the first round in the past earlier on. But then in the middle of the game it showed a segment of T-MAC being asked why he thought they had had some sucess beating the Jazz in Utah and he was bold enough to say something to the affect that it's because their team hates the fans here and it gives them motivation. Therefore, when the Jazz made that big run in the third quarter to restore order, I was really loving that part all by itself, but shutting T-MAC down with no points was icing on the cake!! Enjoy another long offseason Houston! Now it's time to take out some more garbage by the name of Kobe Bryant!! GO JAZZ!!! BEAT LA!!! BEAT LA!!! BEAT LA!!!

Tonight it was Team Jazz that we love played Jazz ball. Great victory despite a wounded Rox. Sorry we don't get a little more prep time for the Fakers. Kobe is a great BB player but no class. When he starts improving his conduct on the floor instead of acting like a circus act running around showing off his fakers jersey, he'll gain my respect. MJ has set the standard for a class act. Kobe is not close. Once again D Fish is the glue that holds the fakers together; even before he came to Utah. Despite D Fish's exit to LA he still seems to be a class person from whom Kobe could learn much about on court conduct. Go Jazz. Let's get one in LA.

I was very comfortable as starting to watch the game on TV. Because i knew the result, 4-2. It was a great game. Thanks to the Jazz anf the lucky fan, watched it live. With all of your permission i want to celebrate my countryman Memo of his big step up. He's now a rebound monster. He's now among first 3 player on the top of the NBA Playoffs by the numbers of double-double and rebounds.
GO MEMO , GO JAZZZZZZZZZZZ
ONE MORE THING TO SAY TO THE ROCKETS. NBA IS WHERE TEAMWORK HAPPENS. YOU JUST GO TO HOLIDAY WITH ONLY A GUY CALLED McGrady. LONELY GOOD BOY. SHAME ON THE ROCKETS.

Way to go Jazz. Focused. Intense. Played like a team determined to win. This was your best game of the series - scrambling and going to the floor for loose balls, pursuing rebounds, pushing the ball up court - it was GREAT! Keep playing like that and you'll be NBA champs!

Did anyone notice that every time Brewer was on McGrady that Brewer completely shut him down? The kid can flat out play some defense! D-Will gave it to 'em on the offensive side of the court, but in my mind Brewer sealed the deal in the third with this big "D" on the most over-rated player in the West! HOW 'BOUT THAT JAZZ!
What a joke | 7:14 a.m. May 3, 2008
Even the Jazz announcers couldn't get themselves to say Utah had a chance against LA. Can't wait for Jazz fans to single out another player and start hating on him, this time it will be Kobe or Fisher. As for Oregon fan I'm feeling a Laker rout, and Dick of the NW, MJ doens't play basketball anymore dude get over it, stop being a joke sniffer.

Re;So Cal jazz fan | 7:31 a.m. May 3, 2008
I'm sure Kobe is really worried about gaining your respect, because no one else is. As for garbage I'm sure you know all about that. As for class your comments have none.

Sorry Jazz fans, Lakers will be the champions in the end, you guys might win one at home but it's over for you guys. We have a team with two superstars, a bench that can take care of business, maybe next year for you guys.

The television crew for this game was terrible. All they ever talked about was T-Mac and Houston. I'm so tired of hearing about the great T-Mac that I could puck!! You kept getting the impression that Houston was winning instead of being down by 20 last night. You would think the NBA and ESPN would be more professional and strive for a more balanced broadcast. If I were Larry Miller, I would file a complaint with the NBA about the bias that was shown in this series on TV against the Jazz. Last night was really a pathetic broadcast ESPN and NBA. Lets start showing the Jazz the same kind of coverage and respect you tried to give Houston. The Jazz are young, talented, and certainly a team of the future in the NBA. They should be treated that way on TV broadcasts.

Kobe starts the trash talk early. He said prior to last night's game "I hope Utah wins so I can answer questions about Utah."
Nice win | 8:44 a.m. May 3, 2008
Way to go Jazz, now beat L.A.!
Looks like Okur has become the 2nd most important player for us. So it's D-Will, then Okur, and Boozer has slipped to 3rd banana.
The Jazz need to keep taking it to the hole and not settle for so many outside jumper one-and-done possessions. Look what happened in the 2nd quarter when they stopped being aggresive and were only taking long jumpers with nobody gong for rebounds, their 19 pt lead disappeared.
By the way "Nice but here comes Trouble", it's traitor not trader.

I can't stand T-Mac and the rest of "his" team! He doesn't deserve to get out of the first round period when he says he "hates" our fans. Lets face it T-Mac, the only reason you hate us, is because us fans have a better chance of getting through to the second round than you do! I love the fact that Houston hasn't gotten out of the first round 7 straight times. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe it all started when John Stockton "sends the Utah Jazz to the NBA finals!" Just curious..... where are all you Rockets fans now? Thats what I thought! "Rockets in 7!" come on Houston lets be honest... you haven't had, did have or ever will have a chance of getting to the second round if you play us. Oh and we "hate" you too! Enjoy the game from you from your TV.

Hey NICE, but here comes trouble.... ESPN said last night that Binum WILL NOT play for the rest of the season. Lets be optimistic and not pessimistic! Im sure I'll see you at the game in your ugly Lakers jersey! Band-wagoner!!!
Houston Jazz Fan | 9:06 a.m. May 3, 2008
Two days ago, the Houston Chronicle ran a story about how Shane Battier was going to celebrate a game six victory in Salt Lake by drinking a few beers (which he would bring from Houston, so he didn't have to drink "that Utah swill"). All the Houston players were talking like they had won the series in game five (except McGrady...who's learned the hard way to keep his mouth shut).
I disagree that Tracy McGrady is the most overrated player in the west. Saying so takes away credit from the Jazz. I feel bad for the poor guy; having to try to beat Utah all by himself. If Utah can get consistently good play from non-star players (the way Houston has with two starters down), Utah will beat LA. If we play like we played against Houston, we will lose in six.

McGrady's legacy is safe once again...and shame on us fans for rooting for our team...I guess we are supposed to share LA's crush on Kobe...Sorry Laker fans, the fact is Kobe is the kid who only got friends and girls because they wanted to be seen with the jock...normal people can't stand egotistical, arrogant people who think the rules don't apply...especially when the enforcers (in this case the stripes)reinforce that attitude by turning their heads or giving phantom calls. Go Jazz!!

The Lakers are gods! They walk on water! No team could ever beat them! Kobe Mac will tear the Jazz to pieces. They're like Tigers in a Bangladeshi swamp, maneaters!

Everytime we get the Lakers in the playoff I worry that we are not going to get a fair deal with the officials. The NBA is in love with the Lakers and they will do about anything to get them into the finals. RATINGS, RATINGS, RATINGS. The first round has got alot of small market winners, so hopefully we will have a chance to win this round. When you look at the teams that are still in, the Spurs, the Hornets, The Jazz, The Hawks, the Magic, there are alot of small market teams still in. They are mostly good teams too. Maybe we can beat the Lakers. It has been said that we match up well against them. Go Jazz.

Hey, "What a Joke?" do you really think fans in other arenas don't single players out to hate? Two wrongs don't make a right, and I don't agree with it, but that's the way it is. It's not a "Utah" thing.
As for McGrady, see you and your Jazz fan hating teammates next year. You can watch the game stewing on your plush couch in front of your 100" television mumbling the name "Deron...Deron...DeRon?...Deron..." and gritting your teeth "Jazz Fan...Jazz Fan..." If you had kept your mouth shut, I'd actually pity you, but then, you're sitting in front of a 100" TV in a mansion from pay you earned playing a game.
As for the Jazz and Lakers, The Jazz need another season or two before they're ready to beat a veteran team in its prime. This is arrogant Kobe's year.

I hope sloan uses commom sense and plays Brewer more than just his 24 minute predetermined role. If sloan tries to guard Kobe with Harpring and AK, he will be at the foul line the whole series.

Now that the Jazz finished off a crippled Rockets team, which is no big thing.....come on!!!!!....be real Jazz fans....no Mao tse-tung Ming, and the hobbled team that took the Jazz 6 games to dispatch. They definitely should have swept them, if they had any thoughts at all of giving the Lakers a series. The only shot the Jazz have is to hammer Kobe and Pau and hope they go down with injuries, or they will experience the same demise as the Nuggetts (as in candybar). I'm serious. I know that the Nuggetts are drunks and bong users, but they did have some talent, and were blown out big time. D'Will and crew will have to go hard to the rack, just like I emphatically said on the message board yesterday, and get the Laker front line in foul trouble....and TAKE CARE OF THE BALL; LIKE MINIMIZE THE TURNOVERS!!!!!!!! Matt and Paul will need to be animals on DEFENSE and Millsap and the rest of the club will need to hit 80% from the charity stripe.....none of this making 17 our of 33 business. Okur needs to continue to go hard to the glass, and Boozer....forget about weak shots.
GO JAZZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
GO JAZZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Jazz played as a team rather than a two-man show Friday night, and the result was a resouonding and impressive win. They will have to play as a TEAM again if they are to beat the Lakers in the semifinals. It will take more than just Williams and Boozer. So let's hope they play as a team like they did last night. Kobe used to be a one-man show, but he has learned that more wins occur when the whole team is involved. A complete team effort is the only way to win. Go Jazz! Beat the over-rated Lakers.

To Colo Jazz Fan:
Your observations are right on the mark. If your in Colorado you probably don't have a choice but to watch the national telecast but here in Utah if I see it's on ESPN I don't even bother with it, HD is nice but it's just not worth it. I enjoy the TNT broadcasts but I absolutely can't stand the ESPN homers. All they talk about his how great T-Mac, CP3, Kobe etc... are and never give props to the others who make the game really worth watching. It also didn't help that they had one of their worst broadcasters doing last nights game, Hubie Brown, he's just horrible. Fire Hubie and Stephen A. and they might have a chance to get my viewing patronage, not that they really care anyway :)

Ref: "What a joke"(LA fan),MJ set the standard for class conduct doesn't mean he still has to play, joke. The bar has been set too high for Kobe to reach so LA fans will settle for any type of conduct. Let's play the game. First team to four wins moves on. This is only the second round LA and the Jazz could upset the favored LA. Some predicted the Jazz would lose to the Roxs. So LA fans run your mouths so as not to reveal your insecurities and let the games begin.

Re: Colo Jazz Fan
Who cares what the broadcasters say about the Jazz. All that counts is the win. I like the fact that the Jazz get no respect or attention or whatever from people outside the game. As long as they score more points than the team they are playing, anyone can say anything they want, it doesn't change the outcome.
Respect, or lack thereof, is way over-rated.

Jazz, fans let's remember to Be Kind, Be clean, Be True, etc....It's OK for someone to hate us fans, we can and will forgive them. Because that's the way it is. I don't hate T MAC or even Kobe I don't too much like their actions or their attitudes sometimes, but hey sometimes I don't like my attitude. One day we will all realize what truly is important. I think Fisher knows. I like Fisher and I don't think he's a Traitor after all he began at LA. Family is what it's all about. Who really cares who wins or loses? It's just good fun or can be. I like the Jazz because most of their players don't carry themselves too prideful like but they just play and win or lose they are the same. Go Jazz and may you win or lose respectfully.

Deron Williams put the game on his shoulders in the second half and took the Jazz to victory. Now they get the Lakers. I say the Jazz in six. I think the Jazz in to back it in on defence.
