"Help them think through any confusion that results from the confrontation between what they have been taught about the outside world and what they are experiencing first hand."

I doubt that there will be any confusion. It will become obvious to most of them that much of what they've been taught about the out side world is true. Statistics quoted by Dr. Phil show that 73% of kids put into foster care end up in the streets or being arrested for committing crimes.

It will take a little time for this, of course. First the children will have to be introduced gradually to junk food, "Younger children especially may be interested in snacks, sweets, candy, etc; introduce these slowly and with more limitations than usual."

Next, they will be assured of the finality of their fate, "Do not contribute to any false hope about returning to home/parents, but be empathetic and re-focus on how they can get through this difficult time."

I'm sure that Texas will turn them into model citizens.

Tips for the foster care folks this goes to the tune from The Wall.

We don’t need re-education
We don’t need your thought control
No red Dragons in our classroom
TEXAS leave them kids alone
Hey! TEXAS! Leave them kids alone!
All in all it's just a long ride back home.
All in all you're just another bump in the road.

Wrong, Do it again!
If you don't eat your meat, you can’t have any pudding.
How can you have any pudding if you don't eat your meat?

If CPS cared for these children, they would send them home.
