Most common cause of injury while rappelling: rappelling off the end of the rope. Use caution and always keep an eye on how much you have left, whether it is knotted or jammed, and consider tying safety knots at the ends of the rope so this type of accident becomes impossible. He'll be back on rope soon I'm sure...

Unfortunate accident. The details are weak, but I would hope that people know to tie a BFK at the end of your rope everytime, just in case.

He did not break his leg and he wasn't using a two rope system so please save the remarks until you know the true story.
