So instead of doing an empirical poll of actual data, they just called up a bunch of people and asked for an "on your honor" answer?

An enormous chunk of the homes purchased in Utah the past 4 years were purchased with ARM instruments. The majority of those will reset this year. The economy is feeling a little bit of a pinch, so now is not a good time for a wave of ARM resets. It will get so much worse for the average household balance sheet. As the mortgage payment eats into more of your disposable income, everything else goes up a little bit in price. All at the same time. When the rising cost of EVERYTHING leaves you with zero in checking before the month ends, you have to turn to Visa to cover life's accidentals.

We know how that ends.
