You guys have an excellent team with great players and coaching. We were not going to make it easy for you to win your first ever region championship. Stephan and Christensen gave you some extraordinary pitching as well as timely defensive plays and hitting from the rest of the team. A very impressive team that is very young and very good.

Congrats Lone Peak...you deserve it. Now if we could get the Deseret News to start covering you guys a little and not so much Spanish Fork. Maybe its because the sports writers are embarrassed that they picked you to finish near last in Region 4 and Spanish to finish first....my my great job! Good luck at state!

This was accomplished with a first year coach and only four seniors. This team is going to be good for the next several years. Very good Junior and Sophomore class as well as 7 Freshman who played up this year. Good luck to the team at State; its going to get tough now.

I played at PG when we one the Region Title hands down yet Lone Peak still won the State Title. There's still plenty of ball to play... The State Title us much more prestigious than the Region Title.

Region champs is great but ..... won't mean much unless LP advances to the finals. LP has won 2 state championships in 2000 and 2001 and advanced to the finals again in 2005. In 2005, the two 4A regions in Utah Valley had hands down the best baseball talent in the state include 5A.

These guys are awesome. A first year new coach, and only 4 seniors. In the next few Years LP is going to be a great team. they have a lot of juniors and sophmores that are playing up and 7 freshman. I know that their jv, soph, and freshman team are extremely good. Lp is going to be a solid team these next three years.

A Utah County team will win state this year in 5A.
I just feel bad for Viewmont and Northridge...They had nice seasons, but they'll be over soon.
