Yeah Boys! You guys did awesome. We've never won before, and you should be proud of yourself. To bad the girls didn't prevail with you, but we still all finished strong. And just as a side note, it wasn't all Barnes that helped us win... we couldn't have done it without our distance coach, Sarah Ingebretson.

Ingebretson actually coaches the distance and the hurdlers, which if you didn't notice, a highland boy won every one of the distance/hurdler events except for the 110m hurdles. Pretty good feat for a first year coach!

Nice to see the Big Article on Highland, Does anyone know how their team did in the state meet? I can tell you, They are not in the top 10. Only Cottonwood is in the top 10 at state at number 7. What good is a region Title when you can't step up at State and get it done against the best competition. Just because you have the bodies filling the 4-8 Place at region is what helps. Did Highland win any Boys races from the 100 to the 800 at region? Just amazing all this press and then nothing at State. Did Highland even score a point at State?

uh concidering highland hasn't won a region championship in who knows happy many years is pretty good in and of itself. Just because they didn't excel at state doesn't mean you need to put highland down. The track program at highland is just beginning to develop. get some background information before you start putting highland down. Congrats to the guys and girls for doing well at region!
