Congrats JD on your two wins. WOW! This is a great set up for a rematch of Judge. That team (Jm) is unique for 3a. Not only did they beat us by pitching but by their bats. I think they are the best in the state. 1 through 9 is solid hiting and their pitching is top notch. Being Catholic, this will be an interesting matchup for me but I ant the monster to fall. GO JD!

Way to go JD. I would love to see a JD vs Judge final. Both teams are playing well and it shows what a great PARA program is in place!

The matchup between JD and Judge has the potential to be some very close and well played games. Many of the players have played against each for years in both the PARA Leagues (basketball & baseball) and the Super Leagues – for the seniors it will be the ideal way to end their high school career.

forget about judge and JD i would want to see the cross town rivals canyon view and cedar dont count them out.

Many of us who want to see Judge and Juan Diego fight it out for the title tend to forget about the teams down south. Both CV and Cedar have a distinct advantage – they have played top notch teams all season long, Dixie, Snow Canyon, and Pine View – they have sharpened their skills. That which does not kill you makes you stronger. Neither Juan Diego or Judge should look past Canyon View or Cedar, before they can play each other they have to win some very solid well seasoned teams. Isn’t baseball great?

Any one that believes one game tells the whole story and is the sole predicter of outcomes is a fool. It may give you a base line but in any sport any team can beat any other team on a given day - sometimes by luck, sometimes because of players improvement, or even a particular match up of pitchers and a player(s) batting slump. Or a combination of factors. I want Judge to play Juan Diego for the title, there are some good teams in the tournament and anything is possible. The teams down south and those way up north are very much in the mix, come Saturday we will all know who was best this week, not during pre-season.

Our kids played JD 3 times, CV twice and cedar once. Cedar and CV are better IMO and JD is overrated. They still have to play though and anything can happen.

CV may have their Ace on the hill against Judge and most likely so will Judge. But Judge can hit and CV can't. We'll see what happens when the two meet up on Thursday who will come out on top. Go Judge!!

"Judge already 10 run" is right and must understand baseball much better than most of the people ("dads") making comments on here. Baseball is a unique sport in the fact that the variables change daily, i.e. pitching, hitting, coaching, etc. This is WHY in the everyone has to play everyone so many times and the outcome can be different each time with wins & losses and even the scores. If it was so easy .... let's just play region one game each and the best record gets the trophy? This is WHY we all love baseball ... to play the game. There are 4 GREAT teams left (in the winners bracket, let's not count out somebody coming back from that, i.e. BR or Logan) but the two BEST teams playing baseball right now are seemingly Judge & Juan Diego ... there is NO overrated by either team ... they are that good! I am looking forward to another game between them and hopefully they can play this Friday, and again on Saturday. I think both these teams are well coached and will show up this week and give all us FANS some great BBALL!

You guys are awesome wrestlers but baseball is not your sport in Delta. Stick to commenting on wrestling and away form baseball. Many Good teams like CV, Cedar and JD sometimes play down to the competition they are playing and the score is not really a TRUE test on the quality team you are playing. When your scores are 16-0, 18-2, 10-8, 20-9, 4-3 and 15-2 maybe, just maybe these "other" teams may be backing off a bit? Maybe pitching guys who do not see much action? Maybe playing JV kids? Or maybe having a BAD day? If you look at the scores YOU (Delta) beat JD once in a game but seemingly got throttled in the double header game? Let's keep you poor opinion to yourself and the teams will decide on the field. I wonder WHY both newspapers have JD rated higher than Cedar and CV? Maybe you know more than us all? NOT!

i was at the juan diego games saturday, and yes they played great games. destroying both teams they played. Good Luck to JD through the rest of the tournament, and do everyone a favor and beat judge, to prove they are human. Also i just want to say great game to the pitchers of the Grantsville-Wasatch game that was also held at JD High. good game, and Great Job to both pitchers, both pitchers went all 9 innings.

Best advice: DO NOT look past anyone, DO NOT take anything for granted. One game at a time. We definitely have the talent from beginning to end to win this but overconfidence will lose it. Last year we didn't plan on being in the losers bracket and ended up there. Anything can happen. STAY FOCUSED. Nice thing about Judge is that if some of their line up ever struggles other parts of the lineup come through! Good luck to all the competition should be fun.

Not quite sure I understand all the rambling but -Playing down to competition?? second game of the DH Delta was ahead 9-2 before giving it back - 6 walks in 2 innings will tend to do that. Last game delta played JD was an 8 inning affair that JD won 4-3 - guess they were throwing freshman pitchers that day. Delta got hammered and played poorly against CV & Cedar. If you are the expert - what other poor opinion should I have?

Hopefully Cedar, Canyon View or Judge don't play down to the competition and get beat by Juan Diego.
It happened to JD when they played down to the competition (Delta, Carbon). Delta beat them with a sophmore pitcher and their #4 pitcher took them to extra innings at JD. But I'm sure that JD was playing their JV and using a little league pitcher and having a bad day. So keep your poor opinions to yourself and let the teams decide on the field. And if you don't win it all, that's ok, there are other players out there to go get and regroup for next year.

ya'll crazy! you know the only team we should be worrying about is cedar. There solid. we already killed JD and CV doesnt even have a chance.

If i remember right the first two games against delta the winds were blowing like 50 mph and our head coach got thrown out, also in the second game it was snowing most of the game.

Hey Delta Fan .... iknowbetter .... Seems like you can talk about who isn't going to make it or is overrated in the 3A Tournament even though you guys went 0-2? Give me a break! If it helps you feel better to say that JD is not that good they so be it, but they went 2-0 as well as the others. JD is still in it and Delta is out! Cheer for the "better" teams if it helps you sleep better ... Thursday will be a good test for all four teams left ..... even if JD wins I am sure they will still be underrated ..... Any team can lose to any team any day in baseball. Wasatch played Judge within 3 runs twice and JD ten runned Wasatch twice, but lost by 8 to Judge ... by those scores JD should have played Judge closer than that? Some teams just play better against some teams ... this is why the MLB plays 160 games and NOBODY sweeps a team all season(rarely) ... The good news is you can stay at work on Thursday and Friday and not worry about it ....

I think JD should be worried about cedar they're solid. I watched them saturday they're a tough team. Cedars hot right now i think they'll stay hot this weekend.

yea well if thats true about teams playing better against some teams then judge should have trouble with cv and jd cuz they alread "played better" against them!? right? and ceder probably wont see judge so they are fine!

JD would not have had that easy of a victory if BL had there star player pitching...it would have been a completely different game! He was the teams best hitter and pitcher so without him that was a huge loss and a total disadvantage...lucky for you and the rest of the state he is only a sophomore so he will get some more shots at you next year!!!
