She didn't just drop out of the sky-Lily comes from an amazing family. Her parents, grandparents, aunts, and uncles are all smart and funny and talented. I'm not surprised at all by her talent, because I've been around other members of her family for years.

Lilly was darling on Oprah. But if this mom thinks that any mother who reads a lot to her children and takes an interest in helping them memorize will achieve these results is very lacking in experience. I have five sons one of whom as a child was a dinosaur wizard - knew every kind, and facts about them all, etc. None of the other boys showed much interest, in dinosaurs or anything else really.
Each child born has their own talents - Lilly is definitely gifted in this area! But some kids, no matter how much you read to them - just aren't.

I am Lilly's great grandmother, known as Rennie by my grand children and great grandchildren. Yes, we are all brilliant. Just kidding. I, unfortunately, didn't get to see Lilly's time on Oprah. I know that there will be many copies for me to view on my next visit to Lilly's grandparents, Anna & Tom. I'm not the least bit prejudiced...uh hem!
