I have always been incredulous about these awards after a few teachers I knew had earned them that were not the best teachers and having seen the politics of education I scoffed at the process, BUT Mr. Le Starge of Churchill deserves and has earned this Award. Power to you Mr. Le Starge my youngest child is looking forward to having you. Power to all good teachers even if you don’t receive an award.

I love learning that some excellent teachers are getting recognition for their fine work. As an average parent I want to second my appreciation for their perseverance and diligence in a challenging field!

There seem to be a disproportionate number of males given the average male to female ratio in education.

disproportionate number of males?? What does this look like affirmative action?? This is an awards ceremony where those who perform well are awarded, regardless of race, sex, religion, or anything else....get over it!
