As a Republican, I actually like the idea of proportional delegates. What I don't like is the huge chunk of "super delegates."

In my rosy picture, I see the country divided into four or five major regions. Primaries are held on the same day in every state in each region. Regions rotate in order each cycle so there's not always the same states going first. Delegates are assigned proportionally across the board. No super delegates.

This would save time (don't our senators and governors have something else they're supposed to be doing?!?), money, and be more fair.

Right on, Why Not?

Republicans have now replaced their mainstay dirty word: "liberal", with "commie".
(and of course, "drive-by media" is always in there someplace)
They've got to do SOMETHING before they their ship sinks forever.
