The oil man and his comarade Cheney are so out of touch with the plight of the American people that it
is ridiculous. The Senate and the House need to help the people. Why the Republicans are allowing
this modern day Herbert Hoover aka George W. Bush to
sacrifice their party's future is beyond me?

Wow! Impressive work, Senators! You probably should take a week or so off after dealing so tirelessly with such a difficult and knotty issue.

Now, if you could only spend a minute or two of your precious schedule on mundane issues like saving the country and the economy by: (1) drilling in ANWR, (2) offshore drilling in the Gulf and elsewhere, (3) developing coal energy, (4) more nuclear power, and (5) supporting development of alternative energy sources. Take your time. No hurry. Take lots of breaks.

And remember, try not to look too stupid asking the Saudis to pump more oil when you refuse to even lift a damn finger to do the same.
