I feel for him but what do you do now go through the process with each new device. and if a mechanical device does not give an advantage then my spring loaded shoes should not matter.

I'm pleased that the CAS chose to give this young man a chance to compete in the Olympics by overturning the unfair ruling by the IAAF that banned him from competing.
The Olympics should be looking for a way to allow every possible athlete to compete, not looking for ways to exclude handicapped athletes who MIGHT have a slight advantage because they're forced to use a prosthetic device.

I don't agree with the decision, he has an unfair mechanical advantage. This is why they have the special Olympics for people like him who are unique and special.

An advantage is an advantage. Is it fair? No. So where should he compete? I do not know.
Has he achieved something? Yes. Has he led by doing this? Yes. Is it incredible? Yes.
But is it fair? no..............

What a joke | 12:08 p.m. May 16, 2008
People cry about steroids in sports and other things that provide improvement inside of an athlete, but yet they allow this mechanical advantage to this athlete. What's next? Where do they draw the line. As someone said, before, they have the special olympics. It's not the special olympics, but the paralympics and that is where this athlete should be allowed to compete against other mechanical advantaged athletes... this is complete joke!

Don't worry "Pistorius also expects to compete in Beijing at the Sept. 6-17 Paralympic Games". So he is planning on running in both olympics? Wow thats neat, and a cheat.
