iProvo employees are being thrown under the bus in this deal. Veracity employees have been promised no layoffs, yet iProvo employees have been given no such assurances. Thanks Mayor Billings for selling out all the hard working people that have made iProvo function, we will not forget what you have done.

Good work Broadweave. Good to see a company growing and progressing in such a competitive market! This is the best thing that could happen for the customers of Mstar and for the citizens of Provo.
The open infrastructure was a failing model. Everyone should realize that by now. Excellent business tactics, the public should look forward to supporting you as a local growing technology company!

MSTAR seriously has the worst customer service, sales, and IT dept. of all time. They make Burger King look like Nordstrom. Thank you dear Lord. Frasier doesn't do anything half-baked. I can't wait for them to improve this turd.

We had problems with MStar a few years ago at the beginning of our service but since then we have had very few problems. If we ever need to call them, which is rarely, they are quick to fix the problem.

So what happens now? The city has acquired a long-term debt that won't go away. The asset that was financed by the debt is now at the mercy of others with no investment from them and no requirements from the city. The intellectual properties will be scattered to the four winds. If Broadweave fails, there will be no chance of recovery for the city. There is the total loss outside of the $40 million estimated to be $15-$20 million. just consider for a moment what that could have bought. It could have been a new rec center or a convention center instead of a long-term liability. Those who mismanaged this debacle should at the least be asked to seek employment elsewhere. I would encourage the public to watch closely the actions of the Mayor, council, and Mr. Garlick as this plays out and hold them all accountable.
