Utah's sad Ave Income $32,828 | 2:29 p.m. May 16, 2008
The sad part about this whole story is the medium income of Salt Lake County...$32,828.
I hope the Utah State Government can figure out how to balance a budget, lower taxes, and give Utahn's a break.
Instead on a banner finacial year, they raised taxes, didn't fund their projects, and now they are proposing to increase the gas tax.

When the state gives away future taxes, the taxpayers still have to pay for the increase infrastructure to support the increased population. I suppose we are like the rat on the treadmill, we just have to keep running and increasing population. (sprawl, congestion etc.)

What about all the small and medium sized companies in this state that pay their taxes every year and take great care of their employees? That a fine thank you Governor for us! Talk about discrimination.
Maybe you should pay us an incentive to stay in Utah.

Complain complain | 4:01 p.m. May 16, 2008
Yup, I guess by all of the complaining we don't want 100 jobs that pay 2x the average salary with a market leading technology company.
Perhaps it isn't development but it is good work. Stop whinning.

Hey Stewart....did you stop to think a little bit about the $6,500,000 in annual payroll that the company will pay out that the state can now TAX?? I bet the state did and that's why they offered the company the tax break. Create new jobs to benefit 100 families AND create a new income tax stream for the state. WOW...did I just think up that one all on my own?????
