Ada Robinson also won the Girls State High Jump # 1 spot for the 4th year in a row. Broke the previous State record that has held 10 years. Get with it,!

Ada deserves more than an "oh, by the way..." She has won 4 consecutive 5A titles, set a state record and did so with a stress fracture in her leg. She may have "jumped" to the no. 1 nationally with her jump as she was third behind two girls who had gone 5-9. And she is one fine young lady. Polite, funny, and a major support to her teammates. Way to go, ADA! We up here know how great you are.

Congrats to Hillcrest Sophomore Allysa Hansen (300m hurdle champ), who never even thought about running track until this year! You rock!

Ada was on crutches for two weeks before the state meet and got off of the a week before it. Her prom date had to carry her around at the prom. One of very few four time state champions in the state and the first in Viewmont high school history. She deserves her own article, not just a "by the way" she broke a state record for crying out loud! In my opinion that's huge.

If not for a DQ in the 200 meter dash several years ago, this would have been the Hudge girls seventh straight track title. Bur six in seven years is not shabby. Also the Judge girls took the title eithout a single first place finish, a tremendous feat in itself. Great job girls.

Ada is like my best friend in the world, she is an amazing young lady. She deserves more than an and other outstanding performances include... being the first person in Viewmont High to achieve 4 consecutive state titles. Congratulations Ada everyone here at Viewmont loves you and know how great you really are. Way to Go!!

to bad timp was in first dominating everyone and had to drop the baton or else timp had a great chance of breaking the state 4 by 1 record

Ada is possibly the greatest person I know. In addition to being an amazing athlete, she is also a very good friend. She is kind and considerate to everyone she meets. I consider her one of my best friends, and will be very sad when she moves away to college this year. I hope everyone has a chance to meet someone just like Ada, but she is such a unique person I doubt many will get such an opportunity. No one deserved to win that state title more than Ada. She truly is incredible.

Thank you all for your support!! I couldn't have jumped that height without my great friends and family helping along the way. Thank you all!!
Isn't it about time? | 2:02 p.m. May 19, 2008
it's understandable that the stewart twins deserve the media that they get, but don't the other girls who did extremely well deserve the recognition in which they've worked for?

Congratulations to Ada, but she only tied the high jump record. The record is recorded wrong in the books. Lindsey Steele jumped 5'11.25" at the Davis Invitational in 1998.

Reading the article you'd think it was only 5A state track on Saturday. But, if you read clear to the last paragraph you'll see it was actually all five classifications. Thanks for the single sentence on 1A and 2A. Brilliant coverage!! When a school wins a state title they ought to get more than a sentence. You printed it in the Sunday paper, so I'm pretty sure you could have made space to give each classification a paragraph or two.

Spanish Fork, not bad for a bunch of "non-atheletes", right coach C. Thank you Mckenna, Leah, Sonja, Jenn, Malory, Liz, Natasha, Kelii, Natalie, Nachelle, Jo, Kirsten, coaches Boyack, Cramer, Ward, Jackson, Thompson, and the real peice to the puzzle, REGINALD. Nice job, Go lady DONS!!

but mostly natalie and nachelle right? next year without them spanish fork will be nothing.
Wheezy | 12:25 p.m. May 22, 2008
The reason why Spanish Fork will struggle next year is because 10 out of the 13 girls who made it to state this year were seniors. The Stewarts were a big part of the team, but a team can’t ride on two people. The whole team worked together for that state championship. Good work girls! You make me proud.
