It would be nice to have representatives that live in the same world as the rest of us: making $60K/year, live in a modest house and still carry a mortgage, drive an old car that they're still making payments on, clip coupons to get by....

Hey, Not Your Average Joes..... The story didn't talk about Congressman Rob Bishop because his report technically wasn't posted yet apparently, but he's a former High School teacher for nearly 30 years... Hardly an occupation known for its financial remuneration. You're probably "worth" more than he is.

Interesting that we tend to elect hard working well educated successful people to office. What could we be thinking???

Since we left England we had to create our own version of Royalty. They have Kings and Queens we have the equivelant in our Presidents and Legislators. Everyone needs to read Common Sense by Thomas Paine so we can return to "Common Sense" in dealing with Monarchies.
