What a great accomplishment for all 4 teams! I think they should kick off next season at the new facility in Sandy and call it the Champions cup! WEber is on a roll and playing some insane soccer. Brighton is always tough, Viewmont is simply a beast but Alta has a sweet defense so it should be a great day if your a fan! Play on lads!

Weber has ruined my braket well done. I hope you win it just to put the "powers" in place. But the refs have more to say about that. Viewmont (wigham) run the score up on alta like they like to.

i think that all four teams are great at soccer and all have a great chance to win the champions cup! these lads know how to play football properly! any of these players could go on to play professionally, especially colton "cookie" cook. he is amazing! play on lads

This is the game to watch today.. Alta is arguably the best team in the state right now, while viewmont basically has a homefield advantage. I expect it to come right down to the 80th minute! Brighton will make easy work of weber

It will be an interesting match up. Weber although very good will be no match for the Brighton 11. The game to watch is Viewmont-Alta. I picked these two teams at the start of the year for the champ game. TOO bad they have to meet in the semi...Viewmont has two very capable scorers,but I think that the Alta defense will contain them, Alta has the TOP by far best scorer, and I don't think the Viewmont backfield although very good can contain him. MY pick, ALTA 2 Viewmont 0. Good luck to both schools.

Alta easily has the best goal difference along with one of the best goal scorers in the state.
Viewmont allows less goals per game than alta and has two of the best goal scorers in the state.

Lets hope it isn't the artificial turf that makes the difference. That would be sad after a season filled with regular grass and then a forced playoff on artifical turf.

it will be a great game, but viewmont will win out. they have the right mentality when it comes to playing. alta is really potent in their offense, but if you break them down, the will let the feed on them and will eventually just mess up the whole game.
weber is a very good team, but u just cant beat a team like brighton.

alta is going to have a hard time beating brighton 2-1 in the finals, since they didn't get past Viewmont in the semi's. Remember one game at a time, Viewmont/brighton in the finals 3-1 and Bountiful/Mt View in the finals same score 3-1. Davis county soccer rules the state in 2008.

shortsleeve is a good keep, but there is nothing special about him. none of the keepers this year are special. the best i've seen so far in the past years is the mvp of 2006, aaron weymann, who played for alta

I don't even like soccer, but had to attend the games yesterday. THEY WERE GREAT! I had no clue what was happening, but it was great. High school athletes playing hard. Soccer is cool in the right environment. If anyone doesn't like soccer, you still need to get out to the finals. This is great stuff.
