China insists that Taiwan must be assimilated and says continued resistance will be futile.

China was offered earth quake assistance by the US and Taiwan and the help was refused for the first three days. As a result many lives that could have been saved won't be. The job is too big to do it all withing the allotted time.

Is it any wonder Taiwan doesn't want to be under the People's Republic? The government demonstrates time and time again, it doesn't care about the people.
