Born and raised a Canadian (Hamilton, Ontario - aka as "Steeltown" in the good old days when we made our own rather than import everything from China) - I always wanted to see Banff and the Rocky Mountains. I moved there in 1972 (the first year Banff Springs Hotel remained open for the Winter and Skiiers) - I fell in love and stayed and now live in Canmore, Alta. which is just a 15 min. drive East towards Calgary. All I can say is that it is a real treat to see Banff and the Rockies and Canmore and Lake Louise if you can afford it.
